I was able to rent a car @ Enterprise without having to pay an additional fee for underage rental fee (I'm 23 also)

Read the "What's required in Vegas" sticky thread.. theres a lot of info there about business licenses & sheriff's card

Have you thought about which club you want to try out?

yea.. a lot of girls like working @ rhino but it is the toughest clubs to get hired for the 9pm-3am shift.. if not then you can always try the 3am shift which i've heard is good also

Go for it, girl. I'm going for it in December and I just hope there's still room at the good clubs.

Im going in a couple of weeks for the DW conference. I planned on working out there for a while, but I remembered that thanksgiving is coming up-dammit! I'm not sure what to do about that--i dont know the customer patterns there.
I'm getting my Dial-A-Stripper service up and running again. If you are in NYC or NJ and are interested in private party dancing, email [email protected] with your SW handle, contact info, photo (if you have one) & best time to call and I'll get back to you asap.

If you're having a party and need strippers, email me with the details and any questions you have. Thanks!

because i live in orange county (SoCal), many of the girls from my club dance in Vegas as well; they actually find it cheaper to fly/rent a car than to drive their own. the report has been: sapphire's rocks, rhino is ok, seamless is very good, yes you do need a license but there's a ton about that in another thread...

once this semester is over (december) i have 3 months out here before i go back to my original school in chicago where i have nothing to do but work my butt off- i definitely plan on going to vegas, too! (never been) good luck on whichever you choose!
remember vegas is about egos/cust.service. make someone feel they are the shiz-nit even more than you normally would- that's what the city is all about./

Below is what one of the mods, Tina said in another posting. They should make it a sticky--If you havnt checked the others yet, that is.

    here's the original link http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40102
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
"I repeatedly see posts on here regarding working in Las Vegas. So I thought I would give you a post on what to expect and how to go about dealing with it.

Vegas is not a place to just "pop in" and work a few days if you've never worked there before.

Many girls who have never worked there hear rumors that there is a lot of money to be made. This business has dropped off in every city in the country and Vegas is no exception.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you want to experience the city and have never been there by all means it should be done and here is how you do it:

Allow 2 weeks minimum to be in town. Arrange to get in town on a Monday afternoon. It may take you several days to get hired SOMEWHERE, and a day to get your sheriffs's card and business license, so allow for that. Remember, the big Vegas clubs have LOTS of dancers and don't need you, so they can hire or not hire at their own whim. Expect some runaround getting hired. All the clubs are ethnically diverse there so if you are black or hispanic, you will have plenty of company.

If you are not driving, I would suggest reserving a rental car so you can easily get around.

Get an extended stay suite at Budget, Emerald Suites, or Extended Stay America. I recommend Emerald suites in the 9100 block of S.Las vegas Blvd, or at Tropicana and Valley View. They will run about $275 or so per week, or Budget Suites on Industrial Blvd or on Tropicana west of Valley View, or Extended Stay America on Valley View across from the Rio. Budget may be around $250 per week, a little higher your first week.

These suites have full kitchens and a full bedroom.

Get a weeks worth of groceries.

You all know you need to get a sheriff's card. If you are under 25 have your birth certificate with you. All others your ID from any state will do,and have your ss card.

To get a sheriffs card you must be hired at a club first. This is where the run around comes in. Sapphire's auditions around 6:30, Olympic Garden is iffy and they hire whenever they want. Cheetah's is easier to get in. It is best to go in around 9:30PM and ask for Ski, who is the general manager. If he likes your looks he will give you the referral slip and if he hires you you can work any shift. If other shift managers hire you, you must work on their shift.

Jaguars hires around 9PM. Spearmint Rhino the same but they are nitpicky beyond belief. If you lack a boob job forget night shift. They pick a shift for you and that is what you must work. The 3AM-9 is ok. If they will only hire you for the afternoon shift, take the referral slip so you can get your card, but I would just pop in here and there to work. The business is iffier on that shift.

At Crazy Horse, go at 1PM, 9PM, or 5AM and talk to the manager. It is hit or miss getting hired here.

For Glitter Gulch downtown, just go in during the afternoon or evening and talk to a manager.

Cheetah's may be easier to get into so I would go there first. Remember, you HAVE to have a referral slip form a club to get your sheriff's card. Once you have that you can work anywhere.

I am not sure the hiring hours at Pleasures or Strip Tease. Just go in and take it from there.

Go to Cameron and Russell to get your sheriffs card. Be there at 8. Plan on being there several hours.

As soon as you get your card, drive up to Las Vegas Blvd North and Washington, turn right and go to 555 E.Washington, #1300, (the building is on the north side of the street) and get your business license. This will cost you $100 cash or check. They will give you a copy of the paperwork and mail the license. You should be out of here within 20 minutes and a hour.

Go make several copies of your business license to give to any club(s) you have been hired at and go to work.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    WORKING THE BIG VEGAS CLUBS

For those of you who are used to being in a laid back medium sized club where you are poplular, have a DJ who speaks up for you and pushes the crowd to tip and buy dances, and some of the customers approach you for dances, don't expect that here.

Dancers, bouncers, waitstaff and DJ's are here for the same reason you are and that is to tap into the tourist market. Tourists have more disposable income than locals in an average city and everyone you work with is "on the take".

The average age of the nighttime out of town strip club patron in Las Vegas is dropping and many of the customers are under 30 years old, and come to the clubs in groups. These same types of customers you tend to avoid in your hometown club tend to be the majority here, especially on weekends.

And unlike your hometown club where they sit at the tip rail and you have an aggressive DJ pushing them to tip, that does not happen here. The DJ's are silent, stage tips are low (with some exceptions) and the guys have a lot of eye candy prancing around on the floor.

At $20 per dance and up, these guys are very particular who they spend their money on and you will find MANY customers who will be flat out rude to you and tell you to get lost, you're not my type, turn their head when you try to talk to them, or talk to you in a condescending manner.

Some nights you will have more girls than customers, and at best as many girls as customers.

In this type of environment it is not uncommon for 30 girls to have approached on guy and when you make #31, the guys are not overjoyed to see you either.

Guys have been hustled hard by girls here and overcharged or given a poor dance, so many guys have their guard up and you have to break that guard to sell them.

Some nights you may not get your payout back. Some nights you may clear $500 or $1000. Making $200 after payouts can be a chore many nights. You have intense competition here and lots of the girls look good, so no matter how pretty you feel you are I guarantee you that there are plenty other girls on the floor who look just as good or better than you do, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the customers are the beholders.

Bouncers many times EXPECT a tip everytime you go in VIP and the amount you tip at home most likely will be scoffed at here.

Don't tip well each time you go to VIP, and the bouncer may be a pain in the ass while you are dancing for your customer and make your customer angry.

A bouncer may bump you from a table you are sitting at with a customer if the club is busy and he was tipped to seat a large party at the door.

Bottom line is you have to be a good palm greaser and get known and in good (by tipping well) to the staff so you will be cut enough slack to do well.

Staff includes housemoms AND in some clubs managers. Both of these people can be the determining factor in letting you work on a shift where they already have too many girls.

You had better be a good floorworker and salesperson. YOU MUST approach everyone here and not let rejection bother you. Guys have A LOT of girls to choose from and only so much money to spend.

If you find a good customer, be VERY careful leaving the table even to go to the bathroom. When you leave another girl will be at his side seeing if he wants her instead of you, or if he wants 2 girls.

Remember, everyone else is here to make more money than they do at home just like you are, aren't they?

Besides Club Paradise, gowns are not worn. Booty shorts and short dresses are more common.

You have to work aggressively, not skip customers and know how to sell to work here.

Eyecatching or bright costumes are a plus here so you stand out in the crowd. I would not recommend black.

You must be alert on the floor here.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to coordinate a Dancer Wealth seminar with your trip here. Working a few days in a club BEFORE the seminar would be best, that way you could ask questions pertaining to problems you experienced in the clubs here.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is definately a learning curve in working big Vegas clubs.

That is why I say a 2 week trip minimum is not as long as it sounds, and that is why I recommend an extended stay apt over a motel room and a car."

Hey! Who's gonna be there Nov 17-19th? Will you still be there tampa? You said a couple of weeks, and akasha, I'll be at DW's seminar on the 19th. You too?

I'll be working at Rhino as that's where I've worked in the past. 3-9 shift. I did get hired for the 9-3, but it was too busy (girls wise) for me. Also, that was almost two years ago (for that shift). My biz lic expired, so I'll be renewing that before I can work fri night...

So who will be there? We should pm and exchange numbers...

Just so you know, if you haven't worked at SR in 2 years, you may need to reaudition.
I have heard that if you hav not worked there in over 6 weeks, they make you re audition.
Im not sure how much truth there is to that, as I went there for a shift one night after being gone for 1 year, and I was allowed to work, but they no longer had my info in the computer, and had to rehire me.

Tampa can get hired for the best shifts anywhere, she is a goddess. Me, personally, I just LOVED Club Paradise, its how a club should be run! Money is rad at SR though, you'll get in even with that judgemental asshole evening manager, you are a fantasy gal. Good luck!

Good luck! Try Club Paradise too if Rhino has too many girls and not enough men. I knew you'd make it in.

^ Kat is right -- TFD can get hired at any club in the country, hands down and without breaking a sweat. It's totally obvious to anybody who knows what she looks like. How many girls can fly into Vegas and land the 9:00 PM slot at SR with no problem? Honestly, I would be surprised if any manager, anywhere, were so blind, stupid or inept not to hire her.

Club Paradise is also an excellent recommendation. It's a gown club that is smaller, less intense, a lot fewer girls, and a much different vibe. The quality of the girls is amazing, though. It's really something of a surprise if nobody has ever told you about it.

We should have done CP on SF Vegas, but we wanted to mix it up a bit with regular dance clubs.
