    Default Themed Music for Costumes

Alright, I have the following costumes but no idea how to get 15min and 30min of music to any of them.

Schoolgirl (I have Alice Cooper's Schools Out For Summer so far)
    Teacher (...not a clue)
Sailor (I have 'in the Navy')
Koala (I was thinking of making this a funny thing... like really cliche Aussie songs. 'Take me Koala back, jack', etc)
Peacock (it's a burlesque costume so I've been going with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Squirrel Nut Zippers, etc.)
    Secretary (again... not a clue)

And are there any songs that are cool about girls in glasses?

    Dankeshun!

Secretary - "working 9-5" - dolly parton, mayyybee "she works hard for the money" - donna summers

School Girl - "Smoking in the boys room" "I know what boys like" - vitamin c, or that old britney one, (don't kill me for suggesting this) - "baby one more time", "remember the days of the old school yard", cat stevens. could even do "touch it" monifa if you wanted more of a suggestive naughty song...

Teacher - "hot for teacher"/also could be used as school girl, could do "maneater" - either by nelly furtado or "she's a maneater" the oldies one by hall and oates i think it is? If you got a good opening song you could just do a kinda naughty sexy spot playing up the glasses - loads of songs you could use here "push it" salt n pepa or "freeak" george michael....

Sailor - maybe you could look into some water theme songs .... just hard to find the right ones i can only think of girly ones such as "pure shores" all saints or "under the water" meril bainbridge but that might get you thinking!

I was just thinking of a set for a schoolgirl costume. You could do "School's out for summer" For your first song, and then do "No more mr. nice guy" for the second. It would be really cute to have the schoolgirl costume on with really sexy black bad-girl stuff underneath. So when the line goes "No more mr. nice guy" You could rip off your skirt or rip your shirt open. I was gonna do it for halloween but went in a diff direction.

Schoolgirl- Pink Floyd's Another Brick in The Wall (we don't need no... education...)
    Teacher- hot for teacher
Koala- men at work- I come from the land down under (where the women shine and the men thunder)
Sailor-no idea. i did a huge search and i found punk covers of popeye the sailor man, and led zeppelin's moby dick but both were not danceable/appropriate... damn.
Peacock- they might be giants- Puttin on the ritz or Space- Female of the Species
Secretary- i'd play something subtley feminist just because- peaches' stuff or ani difranco- little plastic castle (that would work well- i get good response on that track)

    good luck!

my school girl set usually consists of..

    alice cooper - school's out
britney - baby one more time
    wheatus - teenage dirtbag
    madonna - like a virgin
puzzlegut - porno star (not really themed at all, but it's such a cool song to finish with!)

i can't really be assed with themed music much these days tho. most of it is so cliched. so i usually just pick one really themed song to start off with, and then just fill up the rest of the set with music i like.

The School Girl music you hear me use:

Girl School by Brittney Fox (or whatever his name is)
Good Girls Don't But I Do .... by um.. damn.. maybe The Knack ? I dunno...

then it is whatever music you want to add after that as only the first two songs really need to be in theme.

I have a second School Girl music set you havn't heard as I use it in Darwin:
Good Morning Lil' SchoolGirl (or something along those lines)
    * ps do not actually listen to the words as they are creepy and I have cut out certain parts

I only changed the first song.

As for other songs, do a search around Music Mix as that is what helped me.

The Koala one you may want to do an Australiana theme:
This Is Australia by Gangagjang (spelling??)
The Land Down Under by Men At Work
... find suitable songs by AC/DC, Midnight Oil and Cold Chisel to name a few well known and loved good ol' AUSSIE bands

I really really don't see how you can use or work the Koala costume tho' in a stripping sense.

Two more costumes you really need in your aresnal is Cop/Police and Nurse. I'm not just saying that so that we can have variety in our duo shows If you want my costumer to make you the same Cop/Police and/or Nurse outfit as mine ... feel free to PM or email or call.

Actually, I keep forgetting I have two nurses uniforms. And a mrs claus one. And the koala one works very well for humour/shock value.

Maybe a version of "Sea of Love " for the sailor outfit ? The Blondie song is a good idea too. What about "Under the Boardwalk" if you can pull off the cute pie thing. Maybe a cool remix of these songs done by a club DJ?
