    Default Circus sideshow theme

Gosh, hard to describe, but I'm looking for music that would fit for a Jim Rose circus sideshow kind of theme...like I'm thinking Marilyn Manson, but I don't know what songs?

    Help!

I know exactly what you're talking about... dark, but kinda off-kilter.
Yes, manson is a good idea.

    Godsmack- Voodoo.
    Tool- 46 &2
    sublime- santeria or voodoo
but my best and probably least-known suggestion if you wanted to add a more "fun" streak in the performance and make it more side-showey=

Gogol Bordello... self-described Gypsy punks... with odd, dark middle eastern/bulgarian twinges thrown in there... funny, weird, often perverted, ironic.
try the songs Trickster, Let's get Radical, Bordello Kinda Guy, Gypsy Part of Town,Bulla Bulla, or stuff off the new album- start wearing purple, think locally, fuck globally, sex spider.

this became a mini-trend in my club when i arrived. and the guys loved it, even if some of the girls are repulsed by anything new and different.

I'm sorry I don't know who Jim Rose is but I have a jester and a ringmaster outfit and I dance to Korn's "Shoots and Ladders," Ozzy's "Mr Tinkertrain," Manson's "The Dope Show," and Metallica's "Master of Puppets." Sorry if I was no help, but I noticed you mentioned Manson so I figured hey, I might be on the right track.

I was thinking the same thing. I love the 2nd Disco of Back to Basics.

White Zombie-Grease Paint & Monkey Brains

It would never work, but still, it fits: Tom Waits-The Black Rider

There's also this link, most of which have been mentioned here as well.

Hey- I'm still looking for a fast, uptempo song for my first song. Heeelp??

    My set is:

Intro: 20 seconds of enter the circus (christina aguilera)
    1st song undecided
    2nd song Dope Hat (Manson)
    3rd song Dope Show (manson)
4th song The Passenger (Hutchence from Batman sdtrck) OR grease Paint and Monkey Brains (white zombie).

As you can see, I've much benefitted from the suggestions here! I just need something fast now, to start out with.

    Any suggestions welcomed!

Edit: Psycho Circus is a bit too glam rock for my theme...I'm going dark & gothic-y

Golden Age of Grotesque too slow for first song...also don't want anymore manson, so that it doesn't become a manson show, y'know?

Thank you thank you for any help!
