    Lightbulb Hair extensions

    Hey
I am thinking of getting hair extensions but i dont know a hell of alot about them.
I have really fine/thin hair and want to add some length and volume, So i have a few quetsions that i hope can be answered:

How much do they cost on average i know its hard becasue its all diffrent but just an estimate would be good.

How often do you have to get them redone?

How hard are they to maintaine?

Do they ruin your normal hair?

How long dose it take to get them done?

Anyone know some who does a good job in victoria??

    Thanks in advance

Check out hairboutique.com and click on hair talk at the top. Tons of info there, and pics too. I found it when I was looking to get extensions.

How much you put in, how fast your hair grows and the method determines maintenance. Only do the lower half of your head to start. Have stylist layer to blend. The areas by the ears and bottom part w/baby fine hairs are not places for extensions, they show if your hair is in a ponytail and the pieces will outweigh your real hair--so you lose your hair if a piece is pulled out (it hurts).

GREAT LENGTHS: most bang for your buck- they last longest- I redo mine once every 3 months and it's only because they are starting to show (hair grows out). Zero shedding, fast put in and take-out. FUSIONS: used for years, thought it was cheaper. You can't put conditioner on roots--they will shed out like crazy. Takes longer and has more upkeep. Takeouts train-wreck hair. HAIR DREAMS: newer, a spin-off great lenghts. I paid over 3,000 and had to redo a month later. The quality is crap. They blend hair w/something like horsehair--impossible to manage and the color faded out in a week.

What's great lengths? Is that a process or a brand name?
