not a lady but... It's a popular club, lots of young girls and guys. It's about as big and open as a high school basketball gymnasium. There is an open dance area (about as big as two house garages)behind the main stage where the dances happen. It's not exactly "VIP". There is an upstairs area with bar, chairs and a few private VIP rooms(rarely used). Seven stages/ no poles. Contact-medium to light. The DJ has been there at least 20 years i think. License not required in Dallas. There are 6 other clubs within 5 mins of Baby Dolls.

Well, I work at the Lodge in Dallas, and another girl up there was just commenting about BD's the other night- she works both, and said she could often make more money there, but that she really had to break her back hustling to get a lil $ from more guys as opposed to vice versa at the L, and that the clientele at BD's was much more handsy/lowbrow. Hope it works out for ya'll, n if not there are plenty of other options in big D.

Although there is no vip area, there are a variety of champange rooms that are used frequently and sometimes sold out on weekends( the good ones). The clientele is mostly travelers with a few regular locals. The contact imo is medium to high. This club always has a huge quantity of dancers and customers.

As a customer, I like it when I am in town becuase it is clean, hustle is reasonable and it is safe.

Contact varies by dancer. I have been allowed a lot of lattitude above the waist by some dancers and a few have done some through the pants touching on me. Some ahve made it clear (and that is fine) that my job is to sit back and keep my hands to myself.

I 9o for the view and medium contact dances not heavy contact so I would rather be there then getting "action" at some sleaze palace.

Dancers have told me they usually dance once per night (5 stage rotation) and make the $$ from laps

Will be there the weekend of the 17th and hope to see some of the nice regulars.

    ***Bump!!***
Bumping this thread to ask a quick question about this club.

Does Babydolls make you audition, or do they just look you over at the door? Is there are certain night of the week when a hiring manager would be there?

I don't feel 100% my best lately so I don't want to go though some inspection. I just want to get hired and do some "wanna dancing" at a busy club.

They make you change into your dance outfit and then say yes or no. It's reallly easy to get hired here though, huge variety of girls and they aren't nitpicky at all.

^Sweet thanks. Is there a hiring manager there pretty much any night?

I'd like to show up one night when I'm in D-town and just get hired and work that shift. Would that be a problem?

As far as I know you can come in any night, but I would call first just incase they changed something. I haven't worked there in over a year. It's a really relaxed club though.

They hired me just by looking at me in my street clothes.

I work dayshifts at this place. Heres the basic info, along with some personal perspective:

    -CONTACT-

    * I just moved here from PHX, where $ is slow and contact has gone up, up, up. But contact in PHX still pales in comparisson to what I've experienced here. A LOT of roaming hands at this club... the worst being guys who assume they can touch you on stage, or for just approaching them, etc. This isn't everyone, but in my personal experience it's been very common. If you're used to high contact I guess this isn't a biggie. Otherwise, be forewarned and be on guard, as it'll come as a real shock to you!!! TX in general is known for it's high contact.

    * Baby Dolls has a rep. for more permissive lap dances... I think it's because it's a large club where dancers and customers outnumber the bouncers 10 to 1 at the lowest.... so sneaky girls use this to their advantage. But the club itself doesn't encourage extras at all! In fact, they're known to 'secret shop' girls and fire ones who get busted for extras. Great idea, but I think they need more security more than anything.

    -CUSTOMERS-

    * The crowd is a mix of blue collar and young-middle aged white collar men; with most of the blue collar guys being white or Mexican, and the white collars guys being black and white. Also a fair amount of east Indian guys. I hate to make racial generalizations, but it's the 'men of color' who tend to be cheaper, gropier, and an overall pain in the ass to deal with. The white guys tend to spend more and expect less, but tend to go for only a few types of girls.

    * Groups of younger guys tend to come out at night also. Especially guys coming in after working the industrial shops up the street.

    * It's fairly close to the airport, and in a neighborhood littered with several other strip clubs and a bunch of motels. It attracts out of towners for this reason too.

    -MONEY-

    * $20.00 dances.

    * The top earners at this club at white, blonde, big boobed Barbie types. If you fit this description, this is what the best spending customers tend to go for, and if you know how to hustle, you can BANK - day or night. I've noticed a hard hustling girl here that ONLY does champagne rooms, and never does stage shows. She probobly makes more in an hour than I do in a day!

    * Young, white, big boobed college/girl next door types do well at the club too, and most girls at the club fit this description.

    * Theres also asians, Mexicans, and black girls. The black girls have straightened hair, but aren't Beyonce' looking, which tells me it's an easier club for women of color to get hired at.

    * Contrary to popular belief, this isn't a 'wanna dance' club. Well, later in the night when it gets busier it can be, but it's common to take the slow hustle approach. And by slow hustle, I mean chatting for more than 3 songs. 15 minutes or longer is more like it. Again, if you can appeal to the better customers, know how to pick 'em, and are willing to put the time in, you can make a lot of $ here.

    * This known as the busiest club in all of TX, with the busiest day shift. Don't assume that you'll have it easy here though! This doesn't necessarily mean you'll sell a higher volume of dances, as for the most part you have to spend time chatting and talking the $ out of customers. Again, see above.

    * Expect to work with 30-50 other girls on day shift. According to staff, there can be over 150 girls on nights, but I haven't seen this firsthand yet.

    -HIRING STANDARDS-

    * To get hired, I think it just depends on what mood they're in that day. I personally auditioned and was able to work that same day. I've seen them audition girls, hire girls on the spot, and also (oddly enough) turn away hot chicks. You'll never know till you try. Remember that Dallas is like Vegas Jr., with some of the nicest clubs around, and girls from all over the country flock to work here. Theres no shortage on talent - theres tons upon tons of dancers here. Walk in glammed up as if you're ready to work to make the best impression possible.

    * Girls are average to above average looking. Average weight with athletic builds is the most common body type, but theres a few very thin and a few 'thicker' girls too. No outright fat chicks. Boobs come in all sizes, but big implants are the most common. Girls come in all heights. Stretch marks aren't an issue, quite a few girls have them, even the 'new mommy' ones on the belly.

    * Do know that your flaws are more on display here! The main stage and champagne room behind it are black lighted. The satellite stages however, aren't as heavily lighted, as most of the club only uses dimmed lighting. The main bar and area encircling it use bright lighting. Thats how it is on days at least. I stayed later on Wednesday (for vip night) and they dimmed the lights throughout around 8.

    * Costume requirements - wear a t back that covers your lips and pooper! Other than that it's up to you. The typical spandex stripper gear is standard, but I also see a lot of girls wearing gowns, real lingerie, corsets, mini dresses from Charlotte Russe, hats, etc. etc. You can wear wigs too, as long as they aren't too cheap looking. Feel free to get creative!

    * Tattoos - half of us have a few small tattoos, but thats the most I've seen. I have yet to see a heavily tattooed dancer in Dallas, period. I think the key to getting hired is that the more 'mainstream' you can look, the better your odds are. This isn't suicide girl city!

    -DANCING-

    * You don't need to be an amazing dancer to work here. Theres only a few girls I've seen with mindblowing moves. It's mainly very simple floor work and wiggling around in one spot, haha.

    * We do 'double country' sets - 99% of the time if a country song is played, you dance at that stage twice in a row. So when you're called to stage, be prepared to dance to 7-10 songs in a row. On the occasion it's very slow, you might dance to 'only' 4-6 songs, with some of the stages being closed.

    * Most lap dances are done upstairs, on leather chairs w/ wheels on the bottom.

    * I've gotta say, you're pretty much guaranteed stage tips at this place. Not a lot of $, but guys here seem to appreciate the show more.

    -MUSIC-

    * They play a shit load of country, with classic rock, some r&b, and top 40 pop thrown in. You can't bring your own music in.

    -TIP OUTS-

    * House fees are supposed to be pre-paid. If you don't pre-pay, you pay more.

    * House is only $5.00 if you're dressed and ready to work by 11am, and from there is on a sliding scale based on what time you arrive. $25.00 if you arrive by 4pm, with the max fee being $40.00 if you arrive by 8. No, yan't can't arrive any later than 8pm.

    * $10.00 minimum tip outs are mandatory to the dj and house mom.

    -SHIFTS-

    * Day shift is 11-7, night 7-2. The 1st 10 day girls to arrive can leave by 5, but thats it. Other than that you have to complete an entire shift, unless theres a serious emergency or you have prior (pre arranged) approval from management. They're pretty strict about this.

    * You MUST work 1 Sunday or Monday a week to stay here.

    -STAFF-

    * Very friendly, very laid back people!

    * Per shift theres a few door girls, an additional beer girl near the entrance, around 6 bartenders, a million cocktail girls, 1 dj, 1 manager, 4-6 bouncers, and 1 house mom.

    * Makeup artists and hair stylists come in sometimes too, but I'm unsure what they charge.

    * You don't get walked out to your car, but theres separate security who partol the parking lot in the evening.

    -THE CLUB ITSELF-

    * $3.00 cover. Baby Dolls says FUCK THE 'POLE TAX'.

    * Is a large 2 story club, with 7 stages and no poles.

    * Upgrades are a champagne room in back, champagne booths/dance couches along the sides of the main floor, and private v.i.p. suites on the 2nd story. This club mainly caters to the working-middle class however. Not much of a high roller club.

    * Free buffet Monday-Friday 11-2pm, and yes, you can eat it too.

    * The dressing room is large, and well lit, with assigned lockers. Theres a waiting list for lockers and it'll take months to get one. To get on the list, start working 5 days a week. Theft does occur here, and there aren't cameras in back. So don't come and go with a bunch of expensive goods. For security, the house mom will lock your purse in a separate storage.

    * The dressing room also has 3 bathroom stalls, and 3 showers. Theres a washer/dryer too, and vending machines for toiletries, soda, and cigarettes.

    * Our house moms are the best, and keep the place well stocked with snacks, medicines, lotion and body sprays, razors, tampons, sewing supplies, etc. etc. etc.

    * The house mom has a little shop with t backs, garters, and dance costumes. Prices are about 20% below retail average.

    * The parking lot is huge, and am told parking at night can be a pain, so if you work nights, try to get in around rush hour so you don't get in trouble for being late.

You are awesome! Thanks for the thorough review.

So if I pop in, is there a place to keep my stuff? Perhaps some temporary lockers? Or do I have to rely on and trust the house mom?

No problom, anytime! Keep your most valueables in your purse and have mom lock it up, then you'll be ok! All the lockers are taken, so you probobly shouldn't leave fancy designer shoes and whatnot lying around in your dancer bag. I don't think theft is a huge issue, but it does happen, so just a heads up.

I've seen your myspace, btw, and think you'd BANK at this club. BANK! Your look would be very marketable at this club.

Dolly Rocker, that is what I call a review. GREAT job. EVERYONE who does a club review should follow your lead. Your review tells virtually everything anyone considering the club would want and need to know.

Besides the required one sunday or monday shift, are you required to stick to a schedule, or can you just work whatever days you want? Great review, btw!

Expect to work no matter what if theres a special event going on. The 3rd Wednesday of each month for example - thats the 'v.i.p.' night - buffet till midnight and $1.00 drinks. It gets packed by 5pm, and management will most likely expect you to work that day.

Aside from the occasional promo night, you can work whatever days you want (unless you're hired to only work specific days). You schedule a week in advance what days you'll be working, and they will expect you in then. If you can't make it to work, you have to call the club in advance and let them know. This isn't a come and go as your please kind of club, and not giving them notice can get your fired. It's a lot more organised, more like having a regular job!

ahh...I know this post is old, but when I used to work there back in '05, the place was shiny new, and the contact was hard...you had to hustle but it was pretty good in financial returns...

They have changed alot since I worked there then! They used to let you come in as long as it was before midnight and if you called in to miss you scheduled day/night, it was ok and they counted it as excused if you called before they closed. I think I must have called Steve everyday! Tell him Kimber Lee said hi, if he's still there They must not have as many girls now? Also , they used to make me work one sun or monday a month , not a week.

Yup, I'm surprised at how many rules they have - totally different world from when I lived in Phoenix and could show up once a week and work only 1 hour if I desired. But I think it's a good thing - in a population control sort of way. Making the dancers they have commit to the job and put the hours in means they don't have to hire 10000000000 other girls - therefore the dancer to customer ratio stays good.

Not sure if I know Steve or not, but if we meet I'll send your regards!
