    Default Shoe Brand Preference?

I came across a thread where a few girls with wider feet said that they prefer Pleasers to Ellies because they have a bit more room in the front and run larger and wider. I have wide feet and just recieved some new Ellies in the mail and the size is perfect (I used to have 9's but the 8's fit perfectly!) but the front of the shoe is VERY narrow and while they are pretty comfortable, I know that they would be even better if I had a tad bit more width in front. I am wondering if it would be worth it to exchange them for the comparable model of Pleasers which look identical and are the same price? The one's that I ordered are the Ellie Juliets (http://www.snaz75.com/el-601-juliet.html) and the Pleasers I would exchange them for are the Kiss model (http://www.snaz75.com/pl-kiss-209.html). The Juliet shoes in the picture have a thicker strap, the one's I got have the thinner strap just like the Pleasers. They pretty much look identical in the pictures.

I am going to a store tomorrow to buy an outfit or 2 for my first audition and I know they carry Ellies but I'm not sure about Pleasers. I am hoping they have both because then I can try them both on and compare, but if not, any advice would be great!

I have recently fallen in love with Karo Shoes. They will do custom sizing - ie, wider or more narrow, for only $3 more. And they have some awesome styles!

I think the notion that Pleaser / Ellie shoes have different widths is merely a rumour. Supposedly they are all made in the same Chinese factories...

That said, I have wide feet and I prefer shoes with the clear vinyl uppers, in any brand, because the vinyl will stretch more than patent leather will. I have never had a pair of patent leather shoes that didn't cut the hell out of my feet at work. I want to try a pair of patent leathers from Karo and get them in a wide size, to see how that works...
