I've voted in almost every election since I turned 18 back in the glory days of the Bill Clinton era. And today was no exception. I went despite sickness and rain.........I love to vote.
Yes, I voted.
Not this time, but I usually do...
Only when it's a presidential election....
There was an election?
I never vote.

It's like flippin the finger to da man -- and it actually counts for something.
I mean the TV don't care.
The radio just keeps on talking while one screams at it.
Heck, even mom says "Talk to your brother about politics - I don't want to hear about it!"
Well. At least my mom does.![]()
I didn't vote today. It's basically because I could give a shit less about the government in this city (or the whole state for that matter). Can't wait to leave this place.
The race here has been very controversial though (They even almost threw down in a parking lot at some point). Should be interesting to see who wins. I'm kind of hoping that Bob Corker wins though. I hate the Ford family.
It's about more than just government in your city. There is a House and a Senate at stake. I, for one, have had just about enough of the Republicans making important decisions about this country. Go Dems!Originally Posted by Rhiannon

Yeah, I know what the election is for.. I just couldn't care less about Tennessee and want no part in voting for either of them.
It was a pain in the ass and a long drive to find the right polling station, but yes, I voted. There is too much at stake not to.
There were actual lines at the booth today. I've never seen it so busy before. I hope this is a good sign.....

I voted for Kinky. Alas, it was for naught. They gave me two "I Voted" stickers at the poll. I put one over each nip (over the shirt of course these days) and told everyone I enjoyed voting so much I did it twice! hehehe....

Simple as can be, saves me a trip to the polling station, saves me from lines, saves me from finding time to vote on a Tuesday (why do we have elections on Tuesday BTW?). There's actually a proposition on the ballot this year to send a ballot to every registered voter in hopes of increasing participation. I believe that Oregon already does this and it has increased voter turnout signficantly.

I voted, hellz yeah!! of course we''ll STILL be getting Schwarzie again, and I get to look forward to another batch of articles concering the governor riding his huge HOG, CRaShing, and then finDINg OUt HE NEver had A MoTorcycle license hahahahha oh well i can revel in small things. i think voting is so damn important. after everything we've learned (or not) from the middle east and watching women in burqas getting to vote again for the first time in HOW man years?? how can we NOT? it's called American democracy (even if we like to impose it on others), and it requires our participation. i was very dismayed by orange county apathy, but what can i say, IT's ORANGE COUNTTY. i am moving back to chicago in 6 mnths hooray!

I'm so sorry, Texas, that the longest-serving governor in history there will be an Aggie. And, you know, a walking hairdo who thinks non-Christians are going to hell. I hope you all in Austin went down to Scholtz to celebrate.
I voted. We vote by mail in Oregon and they could not possibly make it easier for you. I don't care what your feelings on a place are, there are always important ballot measures (up here, parental notification, library funding, etc) to vote on.

I didn't get to go, Susan, but I watched it all via their live feed on IBC's website. I am honestly upset and depressed...Kinky is such a great man, and he deserved so much better than this.
These people say they don't approve of Rick Perry, yet they still vote for him. I don't get that. Well...let's all say hello to the Trans-Texas Corridor, continued bottom scale ratings in education, and "tax cuts" that don't really mean a thing.
Hoo-rah...or not.
