    Default dealing with slowness

Ladies, I am at the end of my rope. I don't know if this is the right place to post this, maybe it should go in hustle hut. We've all seen posts in club chat about how maryland is insanely slow recently. I work in md (prefer not to say where) I've been at the same club for 2 years. It has been so slow the last few months, and it's getting worse and worse. And even when it's busy, it's hard to sell a dance. For the last two weeks, I've been lucky to make half of what I used to make easily. It's not just me, most of the other girls aren't doing well either. I really don't know what to do. I've been psyching myself out before i even go into work lately because it's been so awful. I've tried taking a few days off, pampering myself, blah blah and nothing helps, because I go right back to work and it's ridiculously slow. I've been to a few other places in the past few months, and they look slow too. Plus, I hate going new places to work(we all know strippers aren't the friendliest to new girls). For the last few months we've all been holding out hoping it will get better but it just hasn't. What do I do? Anybody else experiencing this? (Driving to PA isn't really an option, it's way too far. I can barely keep my eyes open driving home as it is, I couldn't handle a two hour drive each way)

I don't have much advice to offer... but I understand your issue. I live in Delaware and drive to Dover for work. We have some other clubs in Delaware, I went to one and felt extremely uncomfortable and worked previously at the other. Not really interested in going back. I don't know why but I am nervous about Philly. I think I am taking a self esteem hit working in the dives. I understand how you feel. It sucks. I am taking off untill I don't care about the slowness.

Were going through the same thing right now in NC. Its just not getting better. Maybe if were lucky we might have one really good night a week but its not worth 3 really bad nights. Ive decided to take dancing down to a part time job or less and get a regular job to compensate the income.

i know what you mean ( destiny2980)......many of the girls i know that were full-time dancers are ither going back to school or getting a regualr job and dancing on the side ( partime)......about 2 yrs.ago here in miami the bizz got really bad. but thankfully it picked back up with in 3 months.. i have never seen this decline in all the adult industry & lasting so long.............the owner at my club atttned a club owners convention in vegas, after he got back, he was saying that they expect a large percentage of( small clubs ) were going to close there doors with in the next 12 months. due to lack of profit & presure from ( LE-POLITICANS-ZOEING LAWS-FED'S) , he said the industry is going thru somthing he hadnt seen ever in all his years in the bizz........1 word SCARY!!!

It can be so tough, we all know. A few weeks back I sat at the bar shooting the shit with the bartendr for 4+ hours while NO ONE came in the door. It was awful...I just worked enough to pay my bills and avoid being depressed because going to the club was a disheartening experience. Really the only things you can do are ride it out and look for other money making opportunities.

Now it has started to pick up where I am...the first night I went back after taking time off (for school related stuff) I had my second best night ever (and the club was not busy). Being totally rested and in a good mood really helped me a lot.

I go to school and have another job too, so I am often tired and stressed out. But having other stress piled onto the misery of a dead club kills my night.

Try not to think aboout how many guys aren't there. Focus on the ones who are still coming in. It's good to refresh yourself but don't hide out for weeks. You'l be losing too much money. If the industry is dying (let's hope not) you want to sqeeze every dime you can out of it. That will be the money to fund your transition to another job.

taking some time off ( a few days)..not weeks or months ,could be a good thing assuimng you can afford to take time off.....,a while back i took time off from dancing, but i think it was a bitt to long (3 months) to persue other things, it was huge mistake....
