    Thumbs up Levlen

I just started this new birth control, it's a generic planned parenthood pill. I have always had problems with birth control pills in the past, but other then condoms I'm not down with any other method so I have no choice. In the past pills have made me gain weight and feel (and be) sick. This one though is really great for me! I haven't gained weight (I'm not sure if it's because maybe I am really really watching my food/calorie intake and working out more) but with others I increased work outs also. And another great thing about this birth control is I can see a great improvement in my skin (I'm 19 and have bad skin.) So if anyone ever goes to Planned Parenthood, maybe try this pill. Everybody's body chemistry is different, but it doesn't hurt to try.

i'm assuming you mean levlen ED, an older generation levenorgestral/ethinyloestradiol combo yeah? and the dose is...30ug of one...hmmm...150 of the other? (this is possibly a sign i should be studying for my exams more...) that's what levlen in australia is. it's been around for years and is the same combination as many of the other older ones like microgynon and monofeme and such. i've been taking this type for 4 years now, it's great
i must admit it's not for everyone though. a lot of my friends have had horrible problems with this one like weight gain, acne, spotting, and for whatever reason i can't take the one schering makes, i think it must have something to do with one of the inactive ingredients they use because whenever i take their brand, i have bad reactions.
