    Default no business license

So, I've been working at the same club for almost three years, but my license expired a long time ago. I guess we have alot of girls at our club with no license. SO my question to you ladies is does anyone know of any other clubs, besides Sapphire, that they will let you work for a couple of days without a license. I've heard that most clubs will give you a couple of days, but like I said I've been working at the same one for quite some time so any advice would be wonderful.

Yes there are some that will. Mostly the smaller clubs. PM me if you want.

Yeah, I have a sheriff's card. They definitely will not let you go without that. The front desk guy will always tell me when it's getting time to renew. So you said some of the smaller ones will let me work without a license. See ladies, its not a big deal to go down and get one, but I have to pay a late renewal fee which is an extra $100. Which means I have to pay $200. I need a new atmosphere, and I'm not doing good where I'm at so for me to fork over $200 right now is a mission. Now next week is a little different. But if I don't get the hell out of this club soon, I will go crazy. I dread going to work. I hate the bouncers and they don't know how to run shit. Just need a new environment. Thanks.

I know what you mean about a new enviroment. I have one main weekend club that I stick with and change my weekday club every few weeks/months or I go crazy being in the same place all the time. Just try to go to make the $200 needed and remember that you'll be out of there soon. Good luck!

My biz license expired as well. I wasn't going to renew it though. I now work as an LLC. So do I renew my old one that was under my name and pay 200? Or can I simply start a new one with my LLC info and pay the regular $100??

    Anybody?

I think they give you about a month to renew it after it expires. But yeah you should renew it under your corporation name, since you are now claiming to be a corporation instead of a self-employed independent contractor. Don't know exactly how that works. So you are LLC now? How did you do that. I've been told before by accountants and other small business owners that I should become a part of a corporation because you get better tax breaks. And now that they're gonna raise taxes, a LLC sounds really good right now.

A corporation is a legal person and therefore can be set up and licensed independently from an individual.

So if you are operating as BPD Enterprises, Inc. and under that corporation have a division of Jenny the Dancer, then Jenny the Dancer gets the business license and you avoid licensing Jenny the individual. Make sure your "umbrella corporation" doesn't conduct business, but that you file a dancing division with your dancing name on it, and do all dancing business under that division name, and not under the umbrella corp's name.

The Vegas business license is a big problem. I let my license lapse as I have no intention of ever dancing there again, but the city still treats dancers as business owners who have a sales tax generating business operating there.

Many dancers only work there for a few days a year and never come back only to find they are delinquent with the business license division, and that deliquency will never go away. Every year they will tack on another $100 even when girls are long gone or retired.

Something needs to be done to abolish the business license requirement for dancers. We are not a physical business operating in Nevada. 90% of us are not even Nevada residents.

So is Nevada raising taxes? What's the scoop on that?

You can't just let your business liscence go if you quit dancing. You have to send in a letter stating you are closing your business, that way you do not get the $100 tacked on every year.
I quit dancing for a year, and when I went to renew, I had to pay the $200 as welll to get a new one.

So basically, I should be sending in a letter to 'close' my old expired biz lic. And I should open a new one under the LLC's name?

That's what I understood, but it's still fuzzy.
