    Default Bacne?!

    I'm not a dancer... yet.

I decided to actually give myself the rundown in a full length mirror. Besides various things I'm not happy about ( i'm sure i'll post them later.. yay ) I have discovered a thing called bacne.

Only I get these pimples and blackheads on my back and shoulders and i have like two pimples on my butt, and blackheads on my thighs. This is absolutely insane. Shows what a bright light and a pair of glasses will do for you.

So what do I do? I guess that soap and water just won't cut it for me. Anyone have this problem? Solutions? cover ups?

I just put rubbing alcohol on my back to prevent breakouts or w/ev. It's usually residue from conditioner, and the alch takes it off.

    1) Buy a bath scrub brush & dry it out between uses. Scrub broken-out patches of skin gently during each shower or bath.
    2) The cheapest acne-killing soap is Ivory (over 99% pure) or you can buy bodywash with tea tree oil or sacylic acid. It is drying so get an oil-free lotion to apply over broken-out spots.
    3) Have a friend use a warm wet washcloth & rubbing alcohol to extract whiteheads & blackheads from your upper back. Keep your hair away from your back (ponytails and up-dos.)

australian tea-tree oil on whichever really evil oily ones there are. smells really pungent and dries 'em out in 2 days flat.

I love long exfoliating cloths (I find mine in japanese grocery stores) or back straps (like the above) that help me really cleanse my back thoroughly.

I need what KittenKat posted. I know mine is from my hair. But I don't like my hair up all the time. :-(

I have one of those bacne sprays from Avon, but it burns when I use it, I guess from the acid.

If I use certain shampoos and conditioners, I get zits on my back. I noticed that the drug store brands are terrible for my skin. The expensive stuff that I buy in salons do not give me problems.

After you condition, do not let your wet hair touch your back. Put it up in a clip for the rest of the shower. After you get dressed and dry your hair, then you let it down. Perhaps I'm being too cautious but I will do almost anything to prevent backne.

Sometimes I get butt pimples. I know it's from the stage and chairs. Because they are caused by a different bacteria that causes face acne, I put Neosporin on them. Also, I wear cotton underwear to let my bottom breathe.

    Try baking soda!

Grab a handful and scrub it in, then let it sit for awhile before washing it off. It's a pretty deep cleanser, but it draws all the gunk in your pores to the surface. I use it as a mask on my T-zone when I'm PMSing, and as a body scrub all the time.

Thank you all so much, I'm going to try the Ivory ( I asked my Mom and that was her idea) and one of those back straps. I'll let ya know how it goes. THANKS!
