    Default After Work

It's weird. It seems like I'm another person after I get off work. Maybe it was the drinks? I'm always careful to go home and entertain myself for the rest of the night (I get off around 7-8pm). I don't even like calling people (or answering the phone) because I'm afraid of what my stripper-ego might say. It sucks. I'm sure I'm not the only one like this?

Well I don't drink at work (under 21 club) but by the end of the night, I'm really crabby. Even if I have a really good night, by the end of it I'm just mentally and physically tired, and I don't want to talk to anyone. I work 3-between 2 and 3:30, so the long hours might have something to do with it, but other girls from work always try to get me to go out to breakfast with them, and I just can't. I love everyone I work with, but I can barely even stand myself at the end of the night... lol....

I don't get a chance to do it too often but seriously, one of my favorite things to do after work (second, of course to sleep!) is to go out for breakfast! It's so nice after 7 or 8 hours of being "on" for the custys to just let our hair down and pig out at a breakfast joint! Man, I've gotta do that next week. :o)

You work dayshift Bella, correct? The few times that I've worked dayshift, I feel like going out afterwards, but I think that's b/c dayshift isn't something that's normal for me, and so the thought of being able to go out after work like the rest of the world and spend time with my friends is a novelty to me.

Since I work nightshift, I just wanna get home after work and go to sleep. On the weekends, I go out for breakfast after work since the IHOP in Harlem is open 24hrs on Saturdays, but that's about it. Plus, there's nobody to talk to at that hour (though sometimes I still call people praying that they're awake).

Perhaps you just need an unwind ritual when you get home, like a hot bath or something, just to help you relax and slip back into your regular self.

^^^ That's what I do. I have a ritual every night after work. First I take a long hot shower or bath, then I make some tea and figure out what I want to eat, then I make something to eat and read a celeb magazine like Us Weekly or Star (I'm addicted to those damn things) and I'll just watch tv and relax for a while till I'm ready for bed. If you start doing the same things every night after work, then you'll get in the habit of it, and even start looking forward to it.

Yep! Thats what I do. I have an hour drive home after work, so I spend the drive home thinking about the bubble bath I'ma take when I get home, and then deciding which wine I'ma drink and if I'ma make macaroni and cheese, or oatmeal, or a sandwich to snack on. I pop in a friends dvd once Im nice and clean, eat my food, peruse SW, and kick back with some wine. I look sooo forwardss to it.

I have an hour drive after work, so I get home at like 3-3:30 am. All I do is go to sleep! When I used to work day shift and I just started I would go straight home and just chill out. Then when I worked day shift at Delilah's I was living on my own and I went buck wild haha. Think of it as a good thing you don't want to go out. You save loads of money...cabs and all that!

I remember leaving work, finally getting home and doing this.

Warm, almost hot bath. Soak, run a large cup of water over my body. Dip my head under the water to get the smoke out. Get out dry off, and put on a sexy slip, get in bed (damp hair and all) and read a good book for a time. Fall asleep.

No TV, no music, no people.

Felt so good. My alone time to come back to reality.

Heeheehee, no you are not the only one like that! My hubby will sometimes stay awake to wait for me just so he can laugh at my "strippease" as he calls it. I am definiatly WAY more fiesty when I get home, a bit snappy and beware if you try to start something with me! LOL, it's funny really....

It takes me about an hour to relax and settle down, get the stripper out of my system. hehehe!

Hot shower, put on my fleecy nerdy pajamas, maybe have a lil toke, eat a warm yummy healthy meal, top it off with a glass 'o wine or a beer and a movie.

I'm quite opposite. When i'm done work I am amped up and totally wired. I want to see people i know and spend some time with people i enjoy. I don't much like coming home to an empty or sleeping house. I need about 3 hours of decompression time before i can sleep as well. So i get off at 2am and try and be in bed reading by 5am. I also try not to eat after work.
