what ordinance?
"Where there is love there is life"-Mahatma Gandhi
"Be The Best, F!ck The Rest"- P.P.

Like I mentioned in other posts concerned about this. NO,No and NO. These laws have already been passed many years ago. Its only getting renewed. Nothing has changed here except for vice coming in every now and then and giving tickets.
They only come in like once a month usually on a Friday at my club. When they come in we have to give air dances. That's all. Once they leave, it's back to normal again. Management lets us know when they are there.

I wouldn't be so sure that this will continue to be 'business as usual' ...
... in fact, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that the real purpose behind this ordinance is to help out North Vegas clubs at the expense of downtown clubs ...

I have to disagree with you on this one. Like I've said before this ordinance originally went into effect many year ago. All they did is renew it. If they haven't done anything drastic to strictly enforce this law yet, what makes you think things will change now? The police have way more important things to do than spend their night making sure the strippers aren't giving "lap dances." I have not noticed a decrease in earnings because of this law and if anything the clubs have only gotten dirtier. Las Vegas is known for its entertainment and by all means the strip clubs are definitly playing a big part. These clubs produce way too much money and you'd have alot of pissed of strippers, club owners, and cab/limo drivers if we were put out of business because of this law. Politicains know this and so does everyone else who lives here. And as for the North Las Vegas theory, North Las Vegas just passed an ordinance which BANS any new strip clubs or adult bookstores. The only strip club that is whithin NLV city limits is the Palomino and that club was established way before any ordinances were ever passed, therefore exlcuding them in new ordinances. As for the future, I will keep the ladies on this forum informed, if there is any change as fas as this is concerned. Until that happens, yes, it is business as usual. I work in a strip club that is in County jurisdiction and would be affected by this law. I do work full time dancing here so I think I would know whether or not this is a serious issue. I'm not worried about it at this time. Like I said nothing has changed.Originally Posted by Melonie
