    Default Exercise anxiety

    I feel like a freak. Does anyone else get this? If I go to the gym and try to work out I can have an anxiety attack. I think it's from concentrating on my breathing too much. If I get on the treadmill I always have one- but 2 winters ago I successfully used one for 10 min all winter. If I walk or jog outside I am fine. But in the gym I never break a sweat b/c of this. I am just trying to work it up slowly and see if I can start jogging this spring(outside).
    I have even tried the tv and reading while working out. All I am doing now is light weights.

    I kinda get weirded out in the gym too. I think I just feel inadequate. I HATE jogging outside because I really am rather uncoordinated and don't like the thought of people driving by looking at me. I wish I had a treadmill at home.

    I was the same way until I booked time with the trainer at my gym. She was so nice and put me so at ease that I was so busy chatting with her, that I didn't realize that an hour had flown by. And because I was with her, I could forget about the other people around me, and not worry about looking goofy.
    I'm all for propriety and decency, after all, profanity is just the linguistic crutch of pathetic motherfuckers.
