Grr...I really hate nights like these.
I would have made more making minimum wage than what I made tonight. OMFG!

I've had nights like that before at my old club... it really sucks, but then there are other nights that totally make up for it. If you look at it that way (which is hard after having a really bad night) your average earnings are probably still pretty great, so don't get too depressed about it. It sucks, but it happens to the best....
Take the road less traveled- just make sure you have a map.

Just try to look at what you take home total of a week or two weeks like people in regular jobs get paid - it won't look like minimum wage that way - and if it does - then its about time for a club switch. Hope it gets better for ya!
DONT GIVE UP HUNEY,, its like the other girls said, when you average it out. youll still make more money than working an office 9 to5 (i hate office work)....if your club isnt working for you switch to other places, till you find a club that good..

I understand your frustration. All dancers go through what you are facing. I had 2 nights last week in double figures not counting my club pay, but when the 6 night week was over still cleared $1550.
I don't know why Colorado Springs is doing so poorly. Have you tried Pueblo?
Yep. Yesterday was shitty for me. I didn't sell a dance either. The manager even told us no tip out because it was so dead. We opened at Noon and had no customers until 3pm. And the guys that finally did come in sat at one of the stage front tables AND PLAYED CHESS!!!!!!! OMFG!

I heard a story that McDonalds employees were the only things making us feel better, "At least I don't work for McDonalds"
Then a McDonalds employee said to me, "Yeah, but strippers are our way out. At least we're not strippers!"

Oh man, I hate that feeling. I hate crappy Friday nights when it's almost midnight and I've barely made tipout/stage fee and I think about how it would have been worth it to pay just to hang out with my friends that night, when they all have their free time.
But don't forget, it's a job. I assume you do scheduling? Just commit yourself to the shifts you signed up for and remember that you need discipline in attending your shifts and working professionally if you want to get real benefits from dancing.
I actually just checked my hourly average because of this post, including those double-digit days. Um... there is absolutely no way that I could be employed for that much money per shift with the job skills I have, outside of increased mileage. Heyyyy go me!!!

Aaaaaah. The honest dancers have come forward. Not the ones who "act" like $300 is a bad night, and they "always" break $500.

This entire year.....I have averaged from $80 to $250 a night. It used to be $150 to $350 average. The year before that was even better. But....I like where I'm living and have had my fill of motels for awhile.
i know what you mean ,i like ( honest dancers)too ( TINA),,,, at my club we have girls.that no matter how bad everybody did that night, they claim they made easly$300 or 400 dollars, i remeber when i began dancing, girls like use to drive my nuts,,but then i realized it was all BS.....

My God, it took me a while to realize this too! There is one girl at my club to claims to make $800 every Saturday (possible, but very unlikely at my club, or in my area even). There are a couple of honest, hard-working girls that I like at my club, so I usually will only talk money with them.Originally Posted by MADAM LIZZ

"Her apartment is littered with soggy G-strings and cheap 8-inch heeled shoes, along with empty tubes of body glitter, mascara, prescription drugs, zit cream, Aqua Net and Polaroid pictures of her and her "friends" engaged in some drinking and dancing on St. Patrick's Day last year. "My God....

A dancer was complaining that it was bad at my club and asked, "how was thursday?" I said, "It was generally crappy, but I didnt walk out broke so I'm not mad." She said, "well how much did you make?" I said, "A little over $300 after tipout." She sneered and said, "Wow, that's nothing. I think I'm going to leave this club." I told her, "Look, that's better than leaving with $50. Don't be such a snob."
What didnt tell her was that I made 1k that wednesday...
I knew a dancer that said, "oh I'm having a bad night, I only made 1,000" I knew she was a hot item there, but thats just obnoxious. NO ONE makes 1,000+ every single night. If there is a dancer like that...I would like to meet her and shake her hand.
last night, i worked at my very first club as rookie. it was so slow that i made $100. now i remember why i left. i never met such a cheap group of customers since that club.
I'm getting my Dial-A-Stripper service up and running again. If you are in NYC or NJ and are interested in private party dancing, email [email protected] with your SW handle, contact info, photo (if you have one) & best time to call and I'll get back to you asap.
If you're having a party and need strippers, email me with the details and any questions you have. Thanks!

CK, my deepest sympathy to you. I have been through the very same experience more times than I choose to count.Originally Posted by cinammonkisses

Girls make themselves look like idiots when they claim to make so much money when the club is slow and everyone is scuffling. We all know they didn't make much money either. Some girls say their customer gave them $200-$300 for sitting and talking, but they only did 1-2 dances all night. What bullshit. Why should girls be ashamed to say they made no money when the club is slow. Are they that insecure?
I have worked with A LOT of girls who claim to be "big earners" and have seen them leave early or go home with less than $100 or not make their payouts back along with the rest of us.They have several good nights and brag about them like it happens on a daily basis. And then they never have any money for things, and have no car or a run down one. If they make so much money, then why are they so broke?
Why can't we as strippers get along, and not try to one up each other so much? Too many strippers do some fucked up things.![]()

I have to say that honest to god, I have never left with less than $100, but I've had my fair share of nights where I struggle to make something near $200. (and i'm at the 'voted #1 in Quebec' club that's supposed to be amazing). Yesterday I didn't make a dime for my first three and half hours. It was so depressing. I ended up getting lucky off a guy at the end, but god it's hard to keep trying to hustle when it's just "no I want to be alone" before I even open my mouth to say hi. It's tough be to all "oh yeah, I'm having a great day!" when the customer can easily look around and see a dozen girls sitting around when there are only three customers. I hate it when I feel like they're kinda laughing at me. But there are still great days here and there. Anyway, I never understood how a dancer could make NOTHING and now...I get it. Sucks! Even though I've yet to leave seriously empty handed, I went home last night thinking, geez, if that one guy hadn't showed up? I'd have to go to the ATM to make house fee.

i feel all of you. i've been averaging 100 bucks every day for the last 3 weeks. sometimes 60 sometimes 130.. but usualy right at 100. it's pissing me off because i averaged 300 a day this same time last year. it's just getting slower and slower and guys are being cheaper and cheaper.

When you have more dancers in a club than customers routinely, and also when the average age of the customer is decreasing, it is harder to get anyone to buy a dance. Plus many clubs now aren't pushing guys to tip on stage. Stage tipping is really the best way to get money flowing from a younger crowd.
Also, when guys feel overwhelmed with dancers, it causes the dancers to be pushier, and that tends to turn the guys off from spending money.
Molly, in Canada, your $100 day is more like us making $60-$65 here in the states.
I've had nights where i've walked away MINUS $100 after house fees and cab fares.... it truley sucks. I couldnt take it anymore so I started doing feature/showgirl work where I KNOW im making a pay cheque at the end of the week, otherwise I would have bailed long ago and said fuck it because its not right when we walk away with less then we walk in with.

You have to put up with the bad days to be entitled to work the good days.
But, if there are more bad days than good, then go somewhere else.
In any club there is always at least one girl or small group (like three) of girls that can clear 1k a night no matter what. I call those "The Professionals", but there are many reasons why they can clear that bar. Usually they have worked at that club or in the industry for a long while, having a stable number of regulars not to mention good sales skills. The Professionals don't waste time doing small dances, they always hit for the champagne rooms or booths...but I notice they never make it obvious. BUT even The Professionals have bad nights where they don't make any money.
Things to always consider:
*the week before and after holidays are usually bad, people are prepping for their family gathers and they don't have much spending money...YET the week of the holidays are almost always bank week...Or so I have found in the mid-west.
*schedule yourself for weekends and later shifts during these slow periods, there is always a better chance of making some money on these days/times
*start building regulars...Let's face it when it gets dry, it gets rough and who is really going to care? The random custy or a regular who "knows" you well?
*If you can vacation during the slow season or go to clubs in the South or on the West Coast
I usually don't ask other girls what they make, mainly because I don't like feeling like crap for not making as much as they did or making them feel like crap because they didn't make as much as I did type of thing...However I ask them if it was good or bad, if there were a lot of spenders, etc. I also am careful who I ask, more often I ask the house mom if what I made was bad or good for the night. I've always been told never to judge what I make by other girls only because there are too many factors involved that complicate the numbers.
Currently I've been making half of what I've averaged last month, which to me was very depressing since I'm trying to move out...However I am still going home with way more money than a conventional job. What I bring home a night used to be my two weeks of 40 hour brunt work at a local fabric shop!
It's a matter of weighing in the reality, we work in a very inconsistant field and therefore it's just best not to have expectations...BUT never leave with NO money no matter how dead it is. Squeeze those men for all their worth and never look back. Most girls have too much pride about it, but really who's time are they wasting? Their's or your's? It is the way!
