    Sad 60 days of darkness

Ok, hopefully I didn't post this in the wrong forum. I used to work w/someone, in our biz, right after the winter holidays it got dead $-wise 'til basically spring. In the dancing world it seemed to be like that in summer. Do you ladies deal w/this & around these times, & if so how? I'm starting to get the 'afterholidays blues', I know, the actual holidays aren't even here yet! thanks.

Yeah...I haven't been doing it fore long enough to tell you for sure, but I was talking to a girl at work and she said January is the worst month of the year She said last October was the best month ever for her dancing career, but when January rolled around it was awful. I am getting a little worried myself, I'll have after holiday catching up to do with all the money spent on Christmas....
With all the stupid things guys will say, stay cool.

"Her apartment is littered with soggy G-strings and cheap 8-inch heeled shoes, along with empty tubes of body glitter, mascara, prescription drugs, zit cream, Aqua Net and Polaroid pictures of her and her "friends" engaged in some drinking and dancing on St. Patrick's Day last year. " My God....

I think August is the worst month of the year...but that's Philly. Jan to April times are tough but not too bad in Philly. Knock on wood!

If you think about it, Strip Clubs follow a retail trend.

Customers are spending money on a product, which are you- the entertainers. Spending is always great around the holidays because people have money to blow- bonuses, tax write-offs, expense accounts, etc. So, people are spending a lot of money. Plus, 'tis the season to get in the holiday spirit!

Now, the reason January is so freakin' dead, is that what goes up, must come down. After the holidays people are spent out. Credit cards are maxed, receipts are piled up, and there's just no more money left. And unfortunately, people tend to think about their taxes.
Also, January is a HUGE travel month for a lot of people and businesses. People like to get out of town in the cold months.

In the spring, starting at the very end of February through about May, bachelor season kicks in. Whenever it's wedding season, it's bachelor season. So you'll start to see it pick up, especially on the weekends.

The summer months are hit or miss. In NYC, they are still really good- but we not only have a strong customer base, but people are constantly traveling in and out of this city. In other areas, like Washington D.C. for example, the summer months tend to be a bit slower, as DC is on the water and the weather is wonderful. People like to sit outside rather than in a dark strip club.
