Default My brother bought a turducken!!

I'm so excited, I've never had one. We're going to have a Cajun Thanksgiving. Its my dad's birthday as well. Since mom is in the Motherland, so we want to make the day nice for him. We're going to do gumbo and dirty rice, baked green beans. I'm going to get carrot cake cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. If you've never had it, oh its a glorious thing!

Mmmmm, I'm going to be the happiest tub of lard EVER this year for Thanksgiving!

Eep.. I'm so afraid of Turduckens! I like the Turkey and Chicken separate (never had duck), but I'm afraid of the combining all of them.. LOL

Sounds like you're going to have a yummy dinner though! We'll be at the In-Laws' having Ham and Turkey.. Mmmmm Mmmm Mmmm!

Some friends of ours did a Turducken last year. I thought it was nasty. Duck is too fatty for me, and there was just something gross in the flavor... maybe it was the stuffing they used between layers. Fine by me though, the meat is the part of Thanksgiving I care least about. I love the sweet potatoes, broccoli-cheese casserole, hot rolls, and all kinds of veggies!

I've been dying to try one of these. My friend has one of those deep fryers made for Turkeys and one year, I'll probably go for it. I actually prefer duck to turkey myself.

You said it!!! but I've always used the soy cheese on my cassarole, not the same, but kosher's kosher, ya... i love the vast assortment of imitations, so i can still have all the yummy "buttered" rolls and other dairy treats
