Couldn't you just as easily install a ballet bar in your room? It would be much cheaper.
I hope you guys are going halfsies on that, because 2000$ is a bit much to spend on a barre.

Pilates. Cheaper, effective...no need to spend all of this money on a "bar" (which you can buy for cheaper) a ball (which you can also buy for cheaper)...and some videos.
Pilates.

It's 200, not 2000.
I agree that Pilates and Yoga are both the bomb. That said, I'd love to have a barre' bar. Decent freestanding ones cost about a 150-200. Avoid cheap ones- they tip. Wallmounted bars are under a hundred, if you have the wall space. The ball costs anywhere from 20 to 40, so it's actually not bad... as long as the bar is stable.
I had a "ballet" bar put in my home.. My dad just bought a railing that you would use for your stairs.. They come in all shapes but the one he got was circular like a bar.. I stood against the wall and told him how high to put it .. It can be tricky putting the screws in as you have to make sure it is in the beams so it can hold your weight but no different than putting one along your stairs and I think it was all under $30
Actually he's paying for it himself.Originally Posted by Honeybee$

He just wants me to workout with him. He supplies the equipment, I supply the after workout snacks.

Wall mounted bars can be great, but I know I have no wall space for a wall mounted bar. Wish I did.
an idea for no space.. its kindof unconventional but thats me.. i had my dad put it in my dining room... i just move the table when i want to use it.. space was a factor for me too.. since its wood and you are creative you could always paint it? so it didnt look too bad
