    Default bachelor parties: who pays?

i had a bachelor pay for himself for 3 songs and then for a half hour in VIP, $300, last night. I started thinking, in my 6 years of dancing, I dont think i have EVER had a bachelor pay for his own dances, a VIP maybe, but lap dances, no, almost never.

    what are your experiences?
do you hustle more dances from a party by asking their friends to give the bachelor a dance?

    Love it!

No. I always make the friends feel obligated. I once had a bachlor party who was so cheap. The bachelor was about to pay me for a dance for himself!!! I just stood there in front of the bachelor and his friends and said, "oh no honey tonight is YOUR night! These are your boys and they should be taking care of you right?! Don't make him buy his own dance! Ok boys, you guys gotta make tonight memorable for your boy!! So whose gonna buy him his first dance?" That put the pressure on those cheap bastards!

Last night I did some dances for a bachelor and his friends paid. Personally though, I could care less as long as I get my money.

I've had a bach pay for his own dances. But perhaps his buddies had given him money ahead of time. I like a good bach party in the club. I do an amazing dance for the man, then work the buddies. If they're cheap bastards and assholes, I make sure all the girls are aware so they receive poor treatment

The bachelors I have danced for never had to pay themselves - I would have felt bad!

I bought myself VIP time, and a couple of extra dances. My friend who is a lawyer didn't make it, and the people I was with were making maybe $12-15/hr. I had only been to an SC twice for a bachelor party prior to that, and it is in fact, that weekend that got me started. The guys I was with thought I was funny, apparently I turned into a kid in a candy store. Not much has changed since then.

It doesn't matter who pays - start with the drunkest and work your way down.

In my little experience, people have always bought the bachelor dances. I have had many tip me on top of that with their own money, though
With all the stupid things guys will say, stay cool.

I've seen both, sometimes the friends pay and sometimes the bachelor has paid. I've never really made that much money off of bachelor parties, that's why I only dance for them when it's early in the night & slow or really no other prospects. I think the friends should pay but they don't always.

In private bachelor parties, I'd say 20% of the time the bachelor himself is planning and paying for everything.

Maybe some times people need to buy their friends.

Bachelor parties can get really expensive for the guys attending. They can easily cost over $500 for someone else's wedding. Grooms and brides alike suddenly get super expensive taste when it's their friends who are paying. Let's review...

    1) tux rental (eqivalent of dress for the ladies) - $150
    2) your share of hotel room for bach party - $100
    3) transportation - up to $500 (for a last minute airplane ticket)
    4) your share for strippers for the house party - $ 60 (remember, the idiot friend has hired these girls and he thinks he's getting the supermodels he saw on the web page)
    5) dinner and beer at hooters - $40
    6) buying random crap for bachelor - $50
    7) cover charges per place $10-30 (many bachelors like to go club hopping at up to 5 strip clubs)
8 ) beer at strip clubs - $60 (if you don't drink too much)
    9) your share of limo - $75

Perhaps this helps to explain why bachelor party friends are notioriously cheapskates. By the end of the evening it isn't uncommon for friends to be pissed that they financed so much of the groom's "last night of freedom."

I've occasionally had the bachelor flag me down and buy his own dances, usually when the friends were sending him girls he wasn't so interested in (like little young ones that don't know how to dance ). Sometimes I've had the friends send me to the bachelor and pay for only one, then the guy clearly wants another but is hesitant to spend the money - I say loudly to the group, "aw that's ok, your boys here are supposed to pay for your dances honey. we can do another?" They always get at least one more then

    *bridgette thinks, checkmate, boys*

i had a guy do that last saturday, but he spoke up, said he wanted more from me. he knew they were going to buy him more, so he took a part in saying who he wanted. i not only $appreciated$ it but appreciated the compliment and he was cool so i really didnt mind. helped sell more dances for me in the end. i think i may steal the bridgette line.

    Love it!

"we can do another?" is ALWAYS what I say at the end of every song, regardless of the situation. As I'm grinning all sly and slightly nodding my head yes. I've been using this for some years now and it works GREAT. For me, the tell don't ask thing is the absolute best I can see some of the girls at my club just grinding the gears trying to figure out how I get so many multiples - well, this is how

Don't you just love it when they make a show out of choosing you?

It shouldn't be of concern where the money comes from as long as it is paid.

Plus you never know if the Buck has been given some money to spend on behalf of his friends or he just might have liked to treat himself instead of putting the pressure on his mates to purchase the dance. Lots of reasons he could be paying just as long as he pays and (hopefully) gets another dance, right?

You can usually hustle more money out of the group than out of the bachelor. Because the group, collectively, will have more money than the one guy. Usually. I think that's kinda the point. That and the fact that traditionally in the US the friends/best man pay for the bachelor's entertainment. The bachelor is often somewhat hesitant to buy more, but if it's 'free', he'll take it. So, we want to sell to the ones who most likely will be paying.

Somehow, I don't think that being persuaded to get LDs from Bridgette is the same as "losing"
