I was reading one of the clubs reviews, and one of the girls said something about a "six foot rule." Can anyone elaborate?

Um... just as it sounds... you have to stay six feet away from a customer. I haven't found a place yet where this is enforced, however.

My understanding of it is that you must maintain a distance of six feet from customers at all times, whether it be on stage, when you're sitting at their table or giving dances.

Boston maybe?? yeaa..

ime, a "6 foot rule" typically only applies when there is nudity involved. Now we get to decide what exactly defines nudity? Usually breasts, genitalia, and buttocks. In other words, in order to be within 6 feet of a custy you should have on a full bottom bikini or similar.
When I worked with a 6 foot rule we stripped naked on stage but did lap dances in bikinis.
it is only enforced when the cops are around i guess is the only way to put it (thats how it is here anyways) like the stages here have tape on the floor six ft away and the customer should NOT cross it and there is a basket to put the tip money in! and in the vip the chairs should also be six ft away from the couch (the customer on the couch and the girl in the chair or standing) its GAY!!!!! but it is really only enforced when the cops r in or suspected that on is in! i dont know, i quit when the cops started snooping around so i wouldnt go to jail lol! im too paranoid and noone really could tell me what to do so......?!?!?!?!?!?!?
kind of strange to still see people using "gay" as a derogatory adjective...

in a nutshell, the 'six foot rule' (or 4ft rule or even 6 inch rule, depends on jurisdiction) is a state or local law which creates a catch 22 situation to make sure that dancers are technically acting 'illegally' in order to earn any money ! It's not enforced 99% of the time, nor do 99% of the dancers pay much attention to it. But if and when local politicians / cops want to 'send a message' to the club, it provides a ready means for a high profile bust. Ironically, while such a bust does hurt the club in terms of bad publicity and short term reduction in customers, it hurts the dancers a lot more since it is the dancers who are charged with (usually) a sex related misdemeanor - the clubowner isn't charged with anything since it wasn't him that was personally giving a contact lap dance.
