    Default working days

hi girls i tried this post in club chat, it was maybe the wrong forum.
    does anyone work days?
i have only worked nights and i am considering trying some dayshifts.
is it very different? the customers would be different and possibly not as drunk?
it would be great to hear some opinions on day shift compared to night shift!

also has anyone in melbourne worked day shifts either at mens gallery or goldfingers? if so what's it like?

Usually dayshifts are predominately regulars, usually the B-team dancers that cant cut the night shift and ridden with extras...Just my experience...surely differs from place to place

that doesn't sound very appealing. day shifts dont sound appealing in general i guess but i thought i might give it a try. im not sure now coz i can see your point.
i can't be bothered with regulars either coz i see some of the dramas that girls can have with regulars - expecting them to spend so much time with them, getting jealous over the dancer speaking to other guys. i know some dancers have success with regulars but i can't be bothered building that sort of relationship. i guess day shift would not work well for me in that case.

I think it depends on how the club is set up. At my club I used to work like one dayshift per week and I quickly developed regulars. I worked at night first...then I would tell the customer about my working during the dayshift and encourage him to come in at that time. It usually worked. Then my time could be occupied.

I think if you're just hoping someone can walk in up off the street duriing a dayshift and be a regular it will be kinda hard..at least for my club. But I heard there are some places where dayshift is wayyyyyy better than the night.

The thing I like about nightshift is that the guys usually come in for one specific purpose - to spend. Oh, and during dayshift you dont have to worry about boyfriend/girlfriend couples taking control of the club. Try it out..

From my experience, day shifts are tough. Mostly regulars, girls are super territorial and mostly older girls who have kids. Good hustlers though, from what I've seen at least. Customers will want dances if you're a new face, but beware 'cuz if you step on the veterans' toes, they'll try to run you out. If you're going to work days, I've found the best thing to do is try to team up with an old school girl and try the double dance routine and then give the girl you're working with a bigger cut and thank her for helping you out, it will pay off in the long run. Good luck!

B-team dancers. wow. I don't even know what to say to that. I work dayshift, and i have for about a year or more now. I used to work nites, but got sick of all the drama/young guys. Besides, I like to have my nites to myself.

Not all places have such horrible dayshifts. I know my club doesn't. Yes, there are alot of regular customers, but it's also a more relaxed/fun environment.

Hell, I dont know about you but from what I've read from the dancers of SW across the country is that NONE of us can cut the nightshift lol. All these young boys and their girlfriends. Coming in the club with $10 expecting to just kick it. I'd much rather work a dayshift where I can relax, kick back, enjoy conversation with an older gentleman while he spends money on me before heading back to work..Ahhh the life

i'm not trying to be arguementative, but that opinion always bothers me. i've always worked day shift. many girls CHOSE to work day shift. extras depend on the club and the girls not the time of day or not. also, i can (and occasionaly do) work nights if i want to. for many girls it just fits their scedule better. there -are- more regulars than nightshifts, so day shift can be a little rough at first. however, i make just as much as most nightshift girls, on average. it's just "different". typicaly more hustle involved and you tend to make more money off fewer customers. i'd also like to point out that if you know how to hustle, days can be great for you. lots of new girls with no clue work days and lots of older girls who have regulars and don't hustle new customers do as well. this leaves easy work for the hot girls who know what they're doing... which believe it or not.. many girls DO have hot perfectly capable girls on dayshift. *sigh*

I think it really depends on where you work. My opinion of days from past experience was not good. Pretty much what the other posters on this thread have said. But I heard that my current club has a pretty strong dayshift, so I decided to give it a shot. There are alot of regulars, but they seem to be welcoming of a new face. Also, the girls at my club are just friendly all around. Alot of night girls throw in a day shift or two, so I didn't feel to out of place. I really like working days. Lower fees, less pressure, and just laid back all around. The only thing that I still have to adjust to is the slower pace...I can make good money on days, but I have to get used to it being very slow sometimes...and that's hard to do!!

I really like working days too. It can be slow sometimes, but it generally seems more laid back and relaxed (which suits me and my personality) I love the money that comes with nights. I work about 2 nights out of the week with the rest scheduled in days.

B-team... sounds like my high schools football team...

I work days and it is to maintain my semblance of a normal life with my family. I have dinner at home and tuck my baby in, but honestly, I do fine. And I deal with a lot less drama IMO. I've worked nights and personally I've always found night girls to be far more territorial and ready to start shit than day girls. And there are regulars, but as long as you don't let them monopolize you, there are plenty of other guys that'll come through. The one thing I dont' recommend is working days if you are one of those dancers who really hates customers, you know, like hates men and thinks they're disgusting and all that, because you do have to put up a bit more of a front during the day. They do require a little more time and aren't as drunk usually, so a bit more conversation is sometimes needed.

However if I was single and had my choice, I think I'd be all over the 5 to midnight shift. I could get the after work crowd, who I think is always in a great "unwinding" mood, and then hustle my little butt off as the club gets busier and busier, and then I could split before it gets too hectic and be snuggled up in bed by 1:30.

    mine too.

there are also lots of moms on day shift because it works better with a mom schedule.

And day girls can be very catty too because they rely on regulars. I've done an occasional day shift and I'm not trying to sound conceited, but I made a lot of money off their "regulars" and they were not too kind (not that I cared, but I wasn't feeling the love, you know?)

Sorry if anyone is offended. I don't mean this applies to all day girls, obviously. But it happens a lot...and it's in my experience, like the OP said.

I really didnt mean for it sound so derogatory...Not ALL dayshift girls are the B-team dancers, they have their share of hotties it just seems farer and fewer between. Some girls need dayshift for kids/other jobs so thats all that can work...but in my experience in clubs they seemed to be older dancers (To clarify the older and unattractive) who rely on dayshifts being so laxed to be able to indulge in extras with regulars...NOT ALL though so dont jump me here. I have seen from super hot to crack whore central but more typically the latter. But if you are super hot, you might get alot of business because of that

I like the dayshift, personally. I hate the drunk night guys who ask for extras and the catty girls who come in in pack to rip the girls apart. Also, my club was planned poorly. There's very little room for dances, so during night shift, there's a good chance you'll be giving a dance while 5 of his friends watch. A world of "no thanks" to that. I do not need morons staring at my ass for free.

I've always prefered day shift, which at my club runs from 3 to 9pm. I catch the guys just getting off work, waiting for the traffic to die down. They're professionals or working-class types, not young drunks. You do have to sit with them and chat a lot more than you do with the kids, but you do get regulars and an income you can pretty much rely on week after week.

I don't think anyone would consider me B-team. I don't have kids. I do not do extrax. I just prefer a more laid back atmosphere and a more professional clientele.

there are some really good opinions here, really helpful.
i don't think i would be suited to days after reading these.
my hustle is not good at all, i already spend too long talking to customers during night shifts so it would probably only get worse if i worked days.
i don't think id like a relaxed, slower atmosphere coz i like it when the club is really busy, i find that i work better - i kind of get excited esp during table sets.
i also dont mind the younger customers. i do well with the older ones but i also do alright with the younger ones - esp bucks parties.

Then dayshift should be for you. Dayshift really helps you develop a hustle.

well mine definately needs help. i spend way way too long talking to customers and i usually end up selling a dance but seriously it can be for 30 mins or more. im worried about working days coz i feel embarrassed if i am not looking busy. sometimes thats why i get stuck in the long conversations with custies coz i dont wanna stand around by myself looking desperate for company.

I've worked only days the entire (almost) 5 years I've been in the industry. I prefer it over nights for a few reasons: I'm not a good late night person, I don't like the larger amount of girls on nights, and they're usually more catty and drama-friendly than the chicks on days. Also, I can sit back and relax and not feel as stressed out and rushed. That, and it leaves my nights and weekends free for me to detox and hang out with my friends and family. (And for the record, dayshift for me means I work 12-9 pm Monday thru Friday.)

I work days on Fridays sometimes and I really like it. It's a nice change of pace from the night crowd. Our dayshift has several hotties and some not so hotties, depending on what day of the week it is. I do think more extras go on during the day, but it has never stopped me from raking it in when I do a dayshift.
