Default time to change my hustle

i have only been dancing for a few weeks so i realise that i have a lot to learn about the hustle but i think i have made amistake with my approach and now im finding it hard to break out of my approach.
i have been making alright money but not fantastic, i know i can definately improve a lot.

i spend far far too long talking to customers. part of this is fear of standing alone in the club. at the start of the night when its not busy the other dancers and i will sit together and chat but later in the night obviously its every girl for herself and dancers are trying to sell dances and i hate looking like i have nothing to do.
so i think thats part of the reason why i get stuck talking to custies for too long. i have tried the 3 min rule - hi hows your night, introduce myself, ask their name, ask if they are getting dances tonight and then ask them if they wanna go and dance. this has never worked for me - i get maybe later, i have no money, im just here to drink.
i find i have to spend 15 mins or more with a customer to sell a dance. its just not profitable but what choice do i have when i can't sell one in a shorter time?
so this does not allow me to approach every customer - as i have read in hustle hut is important because i dont have time due to the length of time i am spending with the one person.

the only success i have if immediately after i finish a table set i usually have one or two customers waiting for me for a dance. but i need to use my time off the table more effectively.

im sooooooooo desperate for ideas and any help with my hustle (if u could call it that)

i have read on here that it is important to keep the conversation light and ABC - i just dont know how to put this into action.

don't think of it as a 3 minute min. think of it has a 2 or 3 song "max". wait for a couple songs and judge the right time within 2-3 songs to ask. don't spend more than 3 max unless he starts tipping you well. also, you're probably underestimating the ammount that girls get turned down. we all get the "im here for a beer" "maybe later" shit. you just have to put it past you and move on. another thing is, try changing what you say instead of worrying about when. the hustle hut is full of "how to ask for a dance" topics.

another note: if you "can't sell" the dance within that max ammount of time (which you said) then the guy probably wouldn't buy a dance no matter how long you waited... OR you're going to spend a year pressuring him into a dance or two when you could have gotten 10 others from other people by then.

When you do sell the guy, how many dances do they buy? Is there a champagne room at your club?

The reason you aren't selling in two minutes is that you're probably not really making a connection (or developing rapport). Just insert that into your three minute shpiel, you know, like "hi i'm me, nice to meet you, how are you tonight..." and then keep asking questions (where are you from, what do you do for fun, what did you do today, etc.) until you find something you can use to make a connection, like, "oh that's soo cool I've always wanted to do that" or "omg the same thing happened to me last week" or whatever. Then pop the question.

    thanks girls
no we don't have a champagne room, what is that?
i usually get two dances out of one customer. so after i spend all that time with them i sell a $50 dance and then they 2 out of 3 times buy another $50 dance.
but you are definately right that in that time i could have sold 10, thats whats annoying me about it. sometimes after i introduce myself i stand there with nothing to say. i will check out those topics in hustle hut.
thanks for the advise. i just need to learn how to build the rapport without having a 30 min conversation! ill do my homework now.

I think everyone has spent their time talking too much with custies. Especially when starting out. Once you keep at it a little longer, I think you gain the confidence to ask, and not be afraid of getting turned down. Of course, this is what I beleive from my personal experience, everyone has to learn on their own.
With all the stupid things guys will say, stay cool.

"Her apartment is littered with soggy G-strings and cheap 8-inch heeled shoes, along with empty tubes of body glitter, mascara, prescription drugs, zit cream, Aqua Net and Polaroid pictures of her and her "friends" engaged in some drinking and dancing on St. Patrick's Day last year. " My God....
