    Default BA Complications

Has anyone experienced or known of anyone personally who has experienced complications with BA's? The reason why I'm asking is because I plan to go through with this procedure, but I still feel somewhat in the dark about the reality of complications. I have read many articles etc regarding this possibility but I haven't heard many personal experiences. Just trying to gather as much info as I possibly can, before I go to my consultation (Feb 12th!! yay).

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

A friend of mine had auto immune problems that gave her joint pain that was so severe she couldn't dance. The chemicals caused her skin to age her by about 15 years. She literally looked 40 when she was 25. Google implant complications.

I've had mine for over 5 1/2 years and have been fortunate to not have any complications.

you might want to go on the BA forums. They talk a lot about it and there are many personal stories.

I had breast lift complications. I had a horrible reaction to the suture used or got some sort of infection. It was vile and painful.

I know for a fact that Aussie has the best information on it. She's cool because she doesn't talk you out if (lol, she just scares you out of it!) but she has right-on information about everything. I'd ask her.

I've had mine for about 8 months and have started to bottom out. Occasional nipple numbness, even though i went for the crease incision. In reality, it's likely you'll have SOME type of complication, it just depends on whether it'll be small enough for you to ignore or not.

I think the OP meant if anyone HERE (or the friends/fam of anyone here) had implant complications.

I'm curious about this too...I've read horror stories on those forums as well "as I'm so happy I did it!" stories.
I'm getting my Dial-A-Stripper service up and running again. If you are in NYC or NJ and are interested in private party dancing, email [email protected] with your SW handle, contact info, photo (if you have one) & best time to call and I'll get back to you asap.

If you're having a party and need strippers, email me with the details and any questions you have. Thanks!

over the course of my five sets of implants, I have had two complications. The first was a 'flat tire' i.e. a saline implant that decided to leak soon after it was put in (easy fix under warrantee). The other was an infection resulting from a kinked filler tube on a custom made adjustable implant, which was much more difficult to fix both because of the difficulty in totally killing off the infection and the difficulty in having another adjustable implant custom made to order to match the original one.

While something like 1-2% of women in the general population develop complications, the probability seems to be higher for dancers - probably because our implants are subjected to a lot more bouncing, squeezing, strong muscle contraction etc. than your typical housewife. If you are a 'serious' dancer, the decision to get implants will generally help your earnings potential. However, if you are a 'serious' dancer, an implant complication can put you out of work (temporarily). Since even warrantee 'repairs' still require that the patient pick up the tab for lab fees, surgical facility, anesthesia etc. out of her own pocket, and can require a delay of several weeks just to get into your plastic surgeon's schedule, any 'serious' dancer who decides to get implants needs to have an 'emergency fund' established in order to cover these costs plus lost earnings potential if and when any complications should develop.

i'm not sure if it's considered a complication but i have capsular contracton on one of them. However, other than feeling harder than my other boob, it hasnt been uncomfortable or disfiguring in any way.

It's not my personal story, but I thought it might be of interest.

I'll find the title of the magazine, I forgot, it's a girly magazine on stands now.

It says that nipple numbness, in studies, is related to the size of the implant not where the incision is made. The larger implants press on the nipple nerves causing loss of sensation.

I don't know, but I love my sensation too much. That's like penis enlargement that makes you lose feeling in your dick - pointless.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions ladies.

For me, I would be able to deal with less nipple sensitivity since my nipples aren't very sensitive right now. I think I would also be able to deal with some rippling, minor differences in size, and minor capsular contraction. I don't expect them to be perfect but I am very fearful that my health would be affected. I guess I still have to figure out if it's worth it.
