    Default Chain Restaurant Faves

Warning! The OP bears no responsibility for you getting insanely hungry by reading this thread. Proceed reading (and contributing) with caution.

I don't neccesarily have a favorite restauraunt, but there are certain menu items at various ones that give me cravings when I haven't had them in awhile.

Feel free to pick any restauraunt, although a chain outfit will give others some basis of comparison. Entree, side, appetizer or dessert, breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night snack, fast food, carry out, or sit down, budgety , mid-priced, or high end, it doesn't matter. Hell, rave about your favorite smoothie if you want.

    My picks:

    All American Slam at Denny's.
    - Who can turn down scrambled eggs with cheese on them...mmmm.

Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut with pepperoni and mushrooms. If I were a condemned prisoner. This would be my final meal.

    KFC Coleslaw
    - So creamy and sweet that I can't tell that I'm eating cabbage.

Double Steakburger combo from Freddy's Frozen Custard
    - Kind of a local chain (although they've recently opened one near Phoenix). Two lean seasoned beef patties that litterally melt in your mouth, and seasoned shoestring potatoes.

Traditional wings slathered in Medium sauce from Buffalo Wild Wings
    - You gotta love food that takes three days for the scent to dissapear from your fingers.

    Blueberry Mammoth Muffins from Perkins
    - Always fresh, I can't have breakfast here without one.

    Chicken Carbonara at Quiznos
    - You can feel the years coming off your life as you suck down one of these and the bacon alfredo sauce plugs your arteries.

And I wish we had around here...

    Whataburger gotta go to Oklahoma
In-N-Out Burger gotta go WAY out west, but I intend to munch down a 4x4 before I die.
Noodles and Company Ate at one in Colorado. Good chow.

All I can say is thank God I have fast metabolism.

Those of you on diets who proceeded past the disclaimer may now start throwing things at me.

Tommy's burgers (I wish Tommys would go national)
    McDonalds burgers in bulk
    McDonalds Asian chicken salad
    McDonalds McRibb
Dennys Ultimate Bowl (no eggs on mine, extra veggies)
    Taco Bell Sothwest Steak Bowls
Subway Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sammich (for me, with onions and pickles, no cheese)
    White Castle anything!

And on a side note, I miss real pizza. Ugh.

The Whataburger in our area is horrible, but I looooooove their burgers.

I was also impressed when we went to a Del Taco in Colorado...it kicked the crap out of our local Taco Bell.

Ok, and here's my guilty pleasure. My biggest thing I get cravings for since I started eating meat again (I was a vegetarian for 5 years, and un-became one a little over a year ago) is McDonald's chicken nuggets. Every once in a while I feel the need to get a 12 piece and some Sweet 'N Sour sauce...mmmm!

I'm not really a fast food person but when I want something, I want it (only have it once a year maybe)

Arby's Big Beef and Cheddar - smothered in Arby's sauce to the point where the bun is soggy.

White Castle Cheeseburgers - I eat a sack of 10 in one sitting.

    - Taco Bell Chalupas -- But because I'm a vegetarian, I special order them with refried beans instead of meat. My two favorites are the Baja and Nacho Cheese varieties.
    - Arbies potato hashbrowns (triangular shaped, better than McDonalds hashbrowns)
    - ...although I like McDonalds hashbrowns too
    - Don Pablo's spinach and cheese dip (but then they discontinued it )
    - McDonalds McGriddle breakfast sandwich (again, I order it without meat)
    - Starbucks Christmas-flavored Frappucinos -- I can't decide between the gingerbread, pumpkin spice, or peppermint flavors! But I love the seasonal-colored sprinkles they put on top of the whipped cream!
    - My all-time favorite is...the Tuscan spinach dip from TGI Fridays!! I eat this at least a few times a week! It's the shit!

By the way, I used to work at a McDonalds years ago up in PA and we only had the McRibb for a short time(promotional period). LOL the manager used to call it a "Barf Burger" and called it that nonchalantly in front of customers on a very busy Saturday lunch hour!(I guess it wasn't his thing) I've never had it though, so I can't say one way or another...

Oh wait I thought of some more good ones!

    - Friendly's watermelon sherbet
    - Baskin Robbins pistachio almond ice cream -- I usually get this in a sundae with hot fudge
    - Dairy Queen peanut butter cup cyclone
    - IHOP Southwestern omelette with black beans and salsa in it!
    - Bob Evans raspberry cheese-filled crepes
    - McDonalds french fries ONLY when they're hot, crisp, and straight from the fryer
    - McDonalds frozen yogurt/ice cream
    - Friendly's fish-n-chips platter
    - Olive Garden spinach cheese dip
    - Olive Garden portabella mushroom and cheese ravioli
    - Macaroni Grille tomato bourshe(sp?) soup
    - Macaroni Grille tiramisu
    - Chili's black bean veggie burger
    - Dunkin Donuts Boston creme donuts
    - Dunkin Donuts Spanish Omelette sandwich (again, no meat)
I could go on and on!!!

I was gonna read thru the responses, but then realized that my diet would suffer severely. What a fun idea, though, if I wasn't watching my weight.

Wait! LillithMorrigan reminded me of the foods I liked in Australia!

    - Hungry Jack's(like Burger King) veggie burger with cheese...the Burger King version over here in the States just doesn't taste the same!
    - Hungry Jack's fries
    - McDonalds apple pie (in Australia and Europe, McDonalds still deep-fries them...so much better-tasting than the oven-baked ones over here!)

    In Greece:
    - McDonalds cheese pie (yes! there is such a food in Greece, and it is GOOD!!)

    And in the USA:
    - Pizza Hut dessert pizza (one side blueberry, the other side cherry)
    - TGI Friday's alcoholic Mudslide
    - Chi-Chi's tres enchiladas entree (Chi-Chi's was my favorite chain restaurant, and now they are no more! )
    - Chi-Chi's fried ice cream dessert

Ew whenever I think of Jack in the Box, all I can think about is that E. Coli scare they had 10-15 yrs ago. I know they've cleaned up their kitchen standards a lot since then, and I know it's a thing of the past, but I just can't get that out of my mind. When I visited a Jack in the Box out in San Francisco a few years ago, I tried eating their fries but couldn't stop thinking about the potential bacteria...

    • wendy's burgers - the nearest ones are in auckland or tokyo. bit of a long trip if i want one of those chicken burger thingos with those fries... (notwithstanding the chilli finger)
    • hungry jacks whopper with no onions and heavy mayo - though i do live to regret this every single time i do it
    • kfc and that wretched boneless meal thing - they do put an addictive chemical in it, i'm sure.

i don't do junk that often... but when i do, these are my faves.

Wendy's? You mean the ice cream place in those places or the fast food place in American types?

Now I'm going to Hungry Jacks!

Yay, Aussie thanksgiving tomorrow... much food to be had.

When Red Lobster get carside-to-go like Chili's and Applebees, I will be there EVERY week.

I also love greasy burgers from Checkers.
