    Default hair on fire

So I'm at the center stage in the club. Doing my thing... the beginning of the night... not too many people there and the few that are there are annoying me with their socializing and lack of spending. I lean back, flip around a bit and suddenly there's smoke everwhere. A waitress runs up and yells "Honey your hair's on fire!" Yes I burned off a sizeable chunk (luckily a tied back part, so it was just the end of the top layer) and the whole bar smelled like ass for an hour afterward. Ugh!

I know I'm not the only one!

HOW did this happen, though, honey? You can't just say that and not 'splain further! Was it a candle? A cigarette? Or what?

I've seen it happen more than once. Fucking candles! I used to always wear my hair up. Now our candles are gone so I let it down. Glad it was nothing too serious.

Yeah it was a candle on the table touching the stage. Apparently they sometimes remember to remove the candles but obviously not all of the time...

Yup, that happens at club ALL the time, LOL.

there are tables with tealights on all sides of the stage. The pole is not in the center of the stage, you stand in the center the ofstage and theres a pole on each side. Everytime a girl does an upside down pole trick...whoomphf!!! It smells terrible!

That happened to a girl at one of the clubs I used to work at. Glad you weren't hurt!

Yikes, terrible! I just started using fire on stage, and I'm so paranoid about burning my hair off (my head hair, that is. I'm stoked that it burns my body hair off!)

    table candle huh? that sucks.

If it makes you feel better, I once went to do a handstand in the lap of a tipper along 'tippers row' and busted my head on the side of the bar. Bled like a son of a gun. I looked like I had been shot.

Glad to see your sense of humor is still intact. & Hair grows back.

I haven't read much of the thread, but have the Micheal jokes started yet?
