Smiley I need curling iron and conditioner recommendations please!

My hair is super damaged from coloring it, blowdrying, and using a curling iron. I have been using Redken All Soft conditioner and the Redken Anti-Snap treatment. It worked good at first, but it doesn't seem to be helping much anymore. Maybe my hair has gotten too used to it. Can anyone recommend a really good conditioner for me? One that is not super hard to find would be nice too, since I don't live in a big city.

Also, I'd like to find a curling iron that works really well. I'd like to find one for $40 or under, but I'm willing to spend more if it's really worth the money. I just have a really cheap one right now and it sucks ass-I bought it as a quick replacement for the one I had that broke.

    Thanks in advance ladies!

Ive been using Biogenol. I swear this stuff is stopping my split ends. Makes my hair look healthier in btwn cuts and colors. Im a junkie for conditioner.... trust me on this one. I use it in the shower about 2-3 days in a row. I didnt get it from that site but Im sure it would be around a local beauty supply store.

I've been using a cheapie Revlon ceramic hair curler for years now, and I love it. It was like $25. It's broken a few times, but if you're handy with a screwdriver it's easy to fix. Doesn't seem to damage my hair, and I use it twice a day when I'm working. I got it at Wal Mart, I think.

Maybe just change the type of Redken you use? If you're hair is super damaged, I'd recommend their Extreme range. I used to use it when my hair was straightened, then switched to their Smooth Down range when it grew out. Also their Smooth Down heat serum is a must if you're going to use heating products on your hair.

I agree with mia bella - i use the redken extreme conditioner as it is a protein treatment that works at making your hair stronger - I use it as well as a really deep treatment conditioner and it seems to do the job (along with anti-snap before I blow dry my hair)

Any protein treatment for the hair shouldn't be used daily, this includes anything from the Redken Extreme line (especially Anti-Snap and CAT). All Soft shampoo and conditioner are great everyday, consistant use products that add moisture to the hair, but Extreme should only be used on a as needed or rotation basis.

From the description of your hairs condition, use the Anti-Snap three times a week. You may want to rotate it with Color Extend shampoo and conditioner since it's a gentle, lightweight product line that's fabulous for color treated hair. Also, use heat protecting styling products. I like Redken's Fabricate and Full Frame.

As far as curling irons, a friend of mine was kind enough to give me Chi curling irons as a gift. It's a lovely product, but I prefer my Hot Tools gold barrel irons. Just make sure whatever thermal tools you use havea heat control and set it for a medium low setting.
