for anyone who's had rhinioplasty
(disclaimer: yes, i did a search. BUT, i'm asking about something specific that hasn't been discussed.)
I had septoplasty last year (i'd broken my nose when i was about 10, and my septum was crooked and blocking off half of my nasal passage--hard to breathe!)
it went well, no complications, but now i'm left with a noticeable bump on the bridge of my nose. And I fucking hate it.
I want to get the bump filed down, which seems like it would be less of an ordeal than full rhino (b/c no bones would need to be broken and re-set, just filed down in one place).
Has anyone here had this sort of work done--not full rhino, just having a bump filed down? What was the recovery like? How long was the recovery time? Did you still have black circles under your eyes? What about the pain factor? Cost? Scarring?
I'd most likely go to the surgeon who did my septoplasty; he was great. But I figured I'd ask around a bit before deciding to have it done for sure.

Re: for anyone who's had rhinioplasty
I haven't had exactly that done, but I did have a rhino where they broke the bones and all and then they had to go back and revise the tip with no bone breaking. I can tell you the second surgery was much less difficult to recover from and no green circles under the eyes that I recall. So I think the bone breaking does make a difference. As far as cost, I'd assume it's the same. You'll still have to pay the rhino fee, anesthesia, hosp cost, etc.

Re: for anyone who's had rhinioplasty
I had a rhinoplasty (nose job) seven years ago.
It was the best thing I have ever done ( except for my implants ).
The surgery really defined my face, and improved my overall look.
Go for it!!!
