    Default waitressing...too eagar?

i just wanted opinions from those in the biz...i had an interview to waitress at a very upscale club in charlotte, nc. but the interviewer said he'd have to run it by the other managers in a meeting this wendsday before hiring me (he seemed to really like me). now i was planning on calling early wendsday to kinda remind hm that i'm still interested in the job...but my hubby says i should do it tuesday. which would anyone think is best? i really really wanna work at this place and think it would be a great career move.

What about sending a professional letter out today adressed to the mngr. Something like "It was very nice talking to you in regards to the waitressing position at the club. I am hopeful and excited about this excellent employment opportunity. If you have a resume, maybe put that with it too. Then something like thanks for your time. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at ...... ........

    Maybe something like that??

Yes it is always a good idea to send a thank you card.

Sorry to hear you didn't get that job. But at least they got that letter you sent, and I'm sure it made a great impression. The waitressing turnover rate tends to be higher than other jobs, so if things don't work out with her I'm sure they'll remember you! Good luck on the job hunt :p
I'd grab my trumpet and I'd do a stripper sound, like the old Louis Armstrong, real raspy. And the people would go nuts! Then I knew that the sexual, sensual, guttural sound, that throbbing sound, is where it's at.

little update, i've been working at a regular resturant & still applying for SC waitressing. the places i went to were kinda cruddy and one was insulting! i used to be a dancer and whenever efven just one customer came in we all were up on the stage shaking it...they had like 6 customers and the girls were eating lunch...cleaning the stage, most didnt even have shoes on! But i have an apointment for a nicer club tomorrow. i hpe that the few weeks of waitressing in the mean time will help me drop 20lbs....then i'm off to the stage!
