I work in NJ and it's really funny what alot of girls wear. I work with alot of Russian girls and most of them all wear lingere.. They wear black lingere and black thigh high stockings. At first I thought it was sexy but they you have 10 girls in the clubs who are all wearing the same outfit. I try to wear very different outfits. I do caribbean carnivals in Trinidad, New York and Canada so I wear alot of feathery and beaded outfits.

    One of my favorite outfits:

I love those! What a cool and unique idea! I wish some of our local girls would do that. Is it hard to slip in and out of the costumes though? The second one looks like Brazilian beads, which I used for a few of my bellydance costumes. Those would not have worked at the club because of snaggage and potential breaking.

A trend that I'm noticing that I really want to just stop and die is the hoodie. Yes, girls at my club wear tiny, tight hoodies with booty shorts. I think it's cute on maybe a girl or two, but not when majority of the girls are wearing it. When to many girls are doing a "good/cute thing" it brings the whole look down to tacky!

I actually kinda like the idea of this. Its like a fantasy sports theme but I know what you mean, it would only look good if one girl in the club was wearing it, not a whole bunch. I hate how girls do that. Someone comes in with something cute on and the next week the whole bloody place is wearing them.

I absolutely love leg warmers!!! I've been wearing them at work for probably 2 years, and it didn't take long for almost every girl in the club to copy me.
I try to dress differently then the other girls I'm working with just b/c we're all there for the same thing, and you need something to help set you apart from the others. I also used to wear knee hi socks that were bright colors or different striped patterns. Again, that caught on and I was over it! lol.

At my club, we have what I like to affectionately call the "evil cheerleaders", it's a group of 5 girls who act like the evil stuck up cheerleaders from high school. They all wear different variations of the same outfit. I basic tee (like the 2/$10 you get from wet seal), booty shorts, and knee hi socks. Sometimes they will wear a fishnet top instead of the cheap basic tee. It's that outfit that I think looks very tacky...and just cheap. I mean, we're strippers we make money you should be able to afford to buy actual dance outfits, and not wear stuff on stage that looks like your ready to go to bed or have a slumber party.

There was a girl wearing a button down sheer-ish white top and a little blue jean skirt and basically just looked like a waitress. It was odd. Probably just a personal thing but until I saw her give a dance I didn't even realize she was a dancer. I like looking like a stripper when I go to work, but I could see how the 'real girl' look would pay off.

I also saw allot of girls wearing really ugly bras. Like the strapless nude colored ones from wal-mart...bleh...I'd rather see something outrageously tacky than trailer trash stuff any day.

the hoodie trend is super popular at my club. They are typically furry tiger or zebra print. it's awful!
    Chaps are huge too.

there is a girl who wears an oversized mens button down shirt regularly. She looks like Tom cruise in Risky Business.

I haven't seen anything new yet, but I've been at smaller, less populated clubs these past few weeks- so old trends die hard out here LOL.

The place I'm at now, at least 3 dancers wear strapless bras- and not the type that fit well, they don't even have the cleavage for it. I figured they were newbie dancers who buy what they can afford or think will work until they know better then buy other things, but these girls have been dancing for at least a couple months. Very wierd.

Then again the customers don't seem to care so why should they bother to wear anything else? If they ever bother to travel to bigger cities their wardrobes will be terribly out of place.

I've been noticing more and more simple outfits. Like a black bra and black booty shorts. I don't see as many "stripper" outfits as I used to.
And speaking of black... last week when I worked I'd say 80% of the girls were in black. Seems to be the in color now and seems like the neons are going away.

I HATE leg warmers! I'm sure that there is not a single custie that would disagree with me... They are in no way sexy- or even cute.

I love my leg warmers - they don't hinder my pole work and I love how warm they are and they keep my muscles warmed up too!

I keep seeing a lot of bikinis/short skirts sets. I think they're cute but agree of too many people do it it's hard to pick someone out of a crowd.

One girl who caught my eye though was wearing a police costume and it was a different costume (kind of like a longer/sexy blazer - hat - fishnets) and I thought she looked awesome.

I also really like gowns but have never tried to dance in one I think they'd be difficult to do tricks in.

I love going to sc's just to check out outfits and shoes - I seriously need help (not only do I spend too much while I am there but then I go home and shop online.)

I was asking because my first day back (since this past summer) will be Vday & I was hoping some New & Exciting look was in! I even looked on line at at some dance wear sites & alas it all seems like the same tired stuff LOL Though I do like this dress, how you can wear it off the shoulder:

I'm also seeing lots of bikinis and booty shorts sets, but the feet and legs are uber-accessorized. Like, clear platforms with ribbon-tie things around the feet, and thick rhinestone anklet things that fit like cuffs. Still see some legwarmers.

Very few girls at my club wear dresses.

I aboslutely LOVE that dress. I think I liked it better with the heels than the boots.

I am not sure how you'd keep it off the shoulder though, maybe you could modify it and sew it?

Winged Dinghy - I really like the clear shoes with the ribbons - I have them but they are such a pain to keep up and on - like I noticed in wearing them for a performance once that I had to tie them so tight that my skin bubbled over them. Not pretty. I was thinking of using double stick tape but then figured I get sweaty and the ribbons would fall down.

I like the idea of ankle braclets.

I'm selling tons of those drapey cowl neck dresses. Sometimes at one club, we'll have 5 girls wearing the exact same cowl neck dress in different colors.

This thread is making me think of all the weird shit girls were wearing when I first started dancing. Like those slouchy white thigh high boots, and the super thick thongs pulled waaay up. Waterbras were popular in new orleans for a minute, and I always got a kick out the "thud" when one of them got dropped on the stage.

I had forgotten about the slingshot g-string. I'm gonna make some and try to bring it back.

A little of topic but... if you're from North America and you like Wicked Weasel, this site looks like a cheaper alternative with the same tiny looks:

I just noticed that from Stevies post...

Custom made costumes of all kind. During sports seasons a lot of girls get team jersey outfits with their name on the back. I worked in Mass (Springfield area) and I was shocked to see the girls wearing regular bra and panty sets, complete with tags! Keep non-stripper wear out of the club.

LMFAO chris91, I remember all those things you just said, "This thread is making me think of all the weird shit girls were wearing when I first started dancing. I use to wear a black water bra & it did thud on the stage or knock a mother fucker out if you swung it out into the crowd! LOL JK

I think you should make slingshot g-strings!!!

Do you remember the bottoms that had ruffles on the back? They kinda looked like to butterfly wings coming out ur ass LOL

Charlee, if you look at the pink & silver dress, I think she's wearing it off her shoulder
