    Default St john wort

St . Johns wort is a supplement like a vitamin that is suppose to improve your mood etc . I desperately needed something after the meds wore off from my C-section , being a single stay at home mom IS very stressful . My mom suggested I try these even though they did not work for her but she knows that I am very into vitamins etc . Anyways I tired them and they worked so great for me BUT when they wore off it was VERY clear that I needed some more ( yeah I was a total bitch) I started taking them again but I am not getting the same effect from them (still too bitchy for my own good) I was wondering if anyone else has taken them and recommends a certain brand OR I was thinking of switching to Cortislim ?? IS that the name They sell them at Walmart/target etc etc they are suppose to cheer you up too and help eliminate belly fat ?? Anyone ? Any thoughts ??
Don't you just love me ?!?

Be careful if you are on birth control. St Johns Wort can interfere much like antibiotics can.
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.

5-HTP can help boost serotonin. Worked well for me, since I couldn't take St. John's Wort. As for the stress, you might want to up your intake of B viatmins. They help with stress management.

Big ol' fan of 5-HTP. Using it happily here. But I seem to remember reading that St. John's Wort was recently shown to have zero clinical effect.

^^^ Depends on the dosage level, same as everything else. Unfortunately, herbal remedies are constantly "shown to have no effect" because of the bias by those running the studies.

Happened recently with echinacea; was all over the news for a few weeks. A study using echinacea at 1/10th the recommended dosage level showed that echinacea wasn't effective at reducing occurance or duration of colds.

There was a recent study that found that St. Johns Wort was as effective, if not more so, than the leading depression medication, with fewer side effects. The one thing to remember when picking out St. John's Wort is the concentration level. You need to make sure you get enough of the active ingredients, hypericin and pseudohypericin.

St John's Wort is also supposed to make you more sensitive to sunlight, but maybe you have to take high doses for that as well......dunno.

St. Johns Wort is really amazing... as an oil, it can even heal nerve damage!

For depression, it works differently and is usually only effective when taken consistently for at least a couple weeks. It doesn't help for everyone.

If your depression is mostly stress related lemonbalm might be helpful.
