All the time. I can't even count how many times a guy will tell me a name, then his buddy (drunk) will screw up and call him by another name later on. It's great!
But okay, fine, give me a fake name....we're not dating, we're dancing, and I'll forget his name by the end of the night anyway if it has just been a few dances.

I have introduced myself as lunchbox.

I havent seen it too much. I guess it depends on how sarcastic and smartassy the guy is.

Marasmus says, "Oh no, that wasn't gas, it was merely a rectal chuckle."
Marek says, "A friend of mine got punched in the face by a dominatrix stripper about two weeks ago and I thought of you."

Hmm, that's a good idea. Thing is I don't think there are names for guys that work on the same semi-exotic level as "Star" "Mercedes" "Destiny" "Candy" etc....
Anyone have good ideas for male stage names?

I had a customer keep guessing what my real name is and he kept giving me tips and he said this is going to be expensive for me to work out isn't it. Of course i played along coz he kept handing over $50 just to talk to me but i kept thinking why do u care what my name is what does it matter.

Occasionally, I'll use "Tiberius".![]()

I think alot of guys do this. Some groups of guys will all use Bob and grin at each other. Whatever. I never comment because I find it annoying when they do it obviously to get a reaction. I am really bad with names so I don't care what a customer says his name is--I will forget it in 10 seconds anyway.
Of course we do it! Especially if we are married/attached! For the same reason we all have fictional handles here. To show you what an outrageously PL I am, I didn't realize this was an option until a year or so ago, when finally realizing that I probably knew only one dancer's real name.
I'm "George" until we trade cell numbers. Then it doesn't matter, since we'll each know each other's real name soon enough after that.
Why do people care enough to do stuff like that? I mean, at least make it interesting.
Next time i go to the strip club, i'm gonna be "Rambone."
Hey, I agree "George" ain't all that interesting. But when first asked my name, it was the first thing that came to mind -- I have used it and a surname not to be revealed as a pseudonym or alterego before -- and it has stuck. One of the dancers who knows my real name via cell phone exchange has mangled it with my real name. Say my real name were "Steve", she would call me "Steve-orge" and then suggest it was time for a "Steve-orgy". Sorry. Except for the names, I'm NOT making this up!

I have a tendency to re-name guys anyway so I dont care.
him:"my name is bob"
me:"no...you dont look like a bob...you look MUCH more exciting then that......I'm going to call you Lance...much better!"
it usually gets a laugh and if he's with friends..they call him that all night and it becomes a running joke. Great way to loosen guys up and get them having fun.(and you dont have to worry about getting his name wrong...if i call him something differant i just say i've renamed him again!!)
I have custies I've known for years who STILL go by the nicknames I gave them!!!
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.

yeah. it's funny how 90% of the guys you meet are named mike or john. i really don't give a shit if they tell me their real name. what i want to know is... what's the point of giving a fake name as a customer? do they think we're going to be able to track them down by their first name and tell their employer or wife? or that we even care enough to do so?

My name's Phil and that's what I'll tell you. Not fussed about telling you a few things about myself either, but unless I know a dancer well I won't give her enough info to deduce where I work or live, etc.
None what so ever - most dancer's have zero interest in customers OTC, so why do they care? And if you're so worried about being recognised/identified, why are you in the venue in the first place?
Known a few guy's try and encourage the use of nicknames because they think it makes them more interesting - learning how to hold a conversation might be a better idea.![]()
Phil.
I'm not a dancer, I'm a b-boy so sometimes I'll give 'em my name as hotsauce. Obviously it's a nickname, but sometimes it strikes up a conversation. Like it's been said though most dancers don't care. If they ask for my real name I'll give it to them. I just think hotsauce is easier to remember. Sometimes I'll let them guess to get a kick out of it. It's funny when they say you look like a Bob. It's also funny though, cuz when I do tell them my real name is like some big shocker and they're usually like Ohmygod you totally look like your name or that was right on the tip of my tongue. Sometimes they don't even ask my name so it's no big deal.

very few people that know me in this industry or the comedy one choose to call me by my real name so why force it?
My head snaps just as quick to 'Mast'. So I tend to use it in the club. I always chuckle when I get asked "Is that short for something?" or "What nationality is 'Mastridonicus? Spanish?"
I wanna come up with a 23 name pseudonym starting with Mastridonicus but being complete crazy and ending with "The Fourth"
People are not ruled by their memories.
A lot of guys give fake names that they think are sexy to the dancers. Some even have special business cards to give dancers with their cell number with their "club" name. What can be embarrasing is when they find out a guys real name and look up how old he really is on something like people finders.

I date strippers, especially if they love to model for me.

I always go by my nickname Radar. I've had it since I was a teenager. All my friends, co-workers, etc. call me that.
If a girl asks my real name, I'll tell her, but at introductions, I always say that everyone calls me Radar.
I have it strange that the majority of dancers seem compelled to tell me their real names for some reason. Usually shortly after I meet them. I don't go around asking, so I'm not sure why so many tell me. It makes things confusing at times when some girls stage names are the same as some girls real names.
I sometimes rename custys, if I forget the one they gave. And I have a fake real name. just for those pl's who want one.
