That sounds a bit on the illegal side. As far as I know, when you rent a place, the landlord has to announce his intentions to come over before just unlocking it and hanging out.

so you were laying in bed naked with no covers on and your landlord was standing in your doorway watching you sleep?

Umm.... You freaked out and started screaming at him to get the fuck out and you're currently finding a new place to live, right?!
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

I'd get out of there!
wow...that's not right....do you know any attorneys? That's fucked up. I used to own rental property (6 apartment units). I'd sometimes go in if I knew no one was home to fix things, but I'd NEVER go in knowing someone was there and THAT shit that he did is totally fucked.
If you know a lawyer, I'd call him today.
This is completely illegal. No landlord can let themselves in unless there is a real reason for it (broken pipe that is flooding your place/other apts out...fire...smoke...emergency). If you did not let him in...and you did not consent for him to let himself in, you should call the police, file a report (its trespassing, among other things), get a lawyer, break your lease and fucking move.
And, make sure you tell him very firmly that in the meantime your locks will be changed by YOU and/or someone you trust...he will NOT have keys to your place and you will hand the new keys to him when you leave. This will all be done at his expense, as well.
Totally not right...even if he THOUGHT you were gone and walked in...he should have immediately left right when he saw that you were sleeping...not stand there and stare at you until you woke up. WRONG...
Move. You're not safe.
Well, if you really don't want to move you might mention to your landlord that you want 24 hours notice before he enters your apartment. Say it nicely; in fact you can say "To avoid embarassing incidents like this morning I would prefer 24 hours notice before you enter my apartment, as is required by law and our lease."
However, as everyone has pointed out - that is a weird thing to do. It's not even like a landlord feeling a little too comfortable entering. He was deliberately watching you while you were naked and sleeping. I don't know that I would trust him to abide by it. So I would move as soon as possible.

FLORIDA'S RESIDENTIAL LANDLORD AND TENANT LAWS
a. Landlord and tenant laws are civil in nature. They do not concern criminal laws unless the dispute escalates into a criminal matter.
b. A tenant's rights as to privacy in his dwelling and the landlord's access to a dwelling unit are determined by statute (F.S. §83.53). This statute reads as follows:
"(1) The tenant shall not unreasonably withhold consent to the landlord to enter the dwelling unit from time to time in order to inspect the premises; make necessary or agreed repairs, decorations, alterations, or improvements; supply agreed services; or exhibit the dwelling unit to prospective or actual purchasers, mortgagees, tenants, workmen, or contractors.
"(2) The landlord may enter the dwelling unit at any time for the protection or preservation of the premises. The landlord may enter the dwelling unit upon reasonable notice to the tenant and at a reasonable time for the purpose of repair of the premises. The landlord may enter the dwelling unit when necessary for the further purposes set forth in subsection (1) under any of the following circumstances:
"(a) With the consent of the tenant;
"(b) In case of emergency;
"(c) When the tenant unreasonably withholds consent; or
"(d) If the tenant is absent from the premises for a period of time equal to one-half the time for periodic rental payments. If the rent is current and tenant notifies the landlord of an intended absence, then the landlord may enter only with the consent of the tenant or for the protection or preservation of the premises.
"(3) The landlord shall not abuse the right of access nor use it to harass the tenant."
It appears from F.S. §83.53 that most disputes will arise from the landlord's right to obtain access to the dwelling unit in the event of an emergency. It then becomes the duty of the law enforcement officer to determine whether or not there is an emergency. If there is a leak in the plumbing or a major disruption in the roof or outer walls, these are of course emergencies which the landlord must have immediate access to prevent damage to the property and to other dwelling units. If however, there is a slight leak in the roof or there is a leaky faucet, these may not represent emergencies.
Needless to say according to Florida law what he did was illegal and you would have been well within the law to call the police on him...I would not be nice about it, fuck him, he CANNOT legally evict you because HE broke the law. You cant really do much to him for it, but if you file a complaint against him and take him to court you will win if you had called the cops and had the legal documentation...the only thing you could gain by doing this is the ability to legally terminate your lease... hope this helps

Lying, scummy bastard!
Get out of there. Who knows what else he's doing!
GIRL!!!! It doesnt matter what he says!! Its about documentation!!! File a police report immediately!!! If you file a report against him, thats documented with the police department and if anything like that happen again, who do you think they will believe? More than once and its not so much your word against his...its your documentation filed with the cops vs. his word.

What a lying scummy bastard. Who knew what else he was doing? Has he come back since then or called you about it even? At least he knows you mean business, but I agree with everyone else on here, and that's to just get out of there.
Good luck with your new townhouse!
Isocrates: “Democracy destroys itself because it abuses its right to freedom and equality. Because it teaches its citizens to consider audacity as a right, lawlessness as a freedom, abrasive speech as equality, and anarchy as progress.”
That sucks. You're better off moving. Just think, he may have been obsessing about you for a while and finally got up the courage to come into your apt. I'd be paranoid that he had hidden cameras or some other creepiness.
I had a creepy landlord once, and because of that, I decided to never rent from an individual male again. I'd rather deal with property management companies or apts that have professional office staff.
I hope you get into a better place.

Oh my god! Of course, your best option is to move. (Hope the place you're looking at suits you!) But if you can't find a place, invest in some good hidden cameras.
That way it'll be his word against the video proof if he pulls this shit again. (I wonder how many other girls he's been watching!)
Document EVERYTHING he does, record any phone conversations with him, if he tries cornering you or whatever to try and intimidate you, make lots of noise, say "NO." etc. and bring attention to yourself so other people see you.
GOOD LUCK!!!!
The first thing you need to do is look around your place very thoroughly and make sure he hasn't installed any cameras that you're not aware of.
The next thing is to start looking for a place to live.
Once you've found a place, tell him you're moving and if he fights you on the lease, you'll be retaining an attorney.
