    Default Mission gain weight!

    Im breastfeeding, so my booty is going away, my boobs are here again gone again.LOL I lost weight quick after Azaia was born,and before I go dance I need to get my booty back...thats where the money was.
    How do you guys gain weight fast? I know of course I need to keep eating healthy for Azaia, but Im seriously about to buy Oreos in bulk. LOL Im goin rollerblading this week to shape up, that means more weight loss. Maybe some chips ahoy in bulk too!

    If you're trying to get your butt back why don't you try doing lunges. When I was trying to build my butt up before going to Atlanta, I did lots of leg and butt excercises with heavy weights.

    Yeah Im gonna do those too. They got this great machine at the gym its like U lay down and kick ur leg back with resistance under the knee. love it. I need my thickness back as well too

    My sister is naturally thin, her doctor put her on drinking Ensure and it put some pounds on her real quick.

    Or you could try this superfun recipe for weight gain...eat pizza,pasta ,quesadillas then go directly to bed. Repeat.

    When your breast feed. You are burning at least 1600 calories a day. Some women more, if they produce milk for two babies. I sugguest you increase your calorie intake. It good to do some swats, lunges, or mule kicks. Yet you will still loose weight. If you do not increase your calorie intake.

    Since you are back with your hubby. Trying making a appointment to see a nutrutist. (Tell your doc about your concern, they have nutrutist in the miltary hosptial). Instead of stocking up on unhealthy food. They can lead you to healthy food that will nourish you body. Not to mention provided a good source of nutrients for your child.

    actually, you burn more like 500 cal. breastfeeding. I wish it was 1600 though.

    Try eating McDonald's or Taco Bell. Junk food oughta make you gain weight.

    And if breastfeeding makes you lose that much weight, I wonder if I could make myself lactate and squirt the milk with no baby. (I'm kidding but really I never knew that.)

    Since 3500 calories equals a pound, you should increase your amount of calories cosumed by 500 per day.

    - Eat more
    - Eat larger portions
    - Eat higher calorie foods - dried fruit, starchy vegetables, dense bread
    - Add lots of extras to your food - like olive oil, avacados, nuts
    - drink weight gainer/protein shakes
    - Do resistance exercises

    Remember just because you want to gain weight, doesn't mean you should fill up on junk. You body will thank you for it.

    While I was breast feeding I burn. 1600 calories a day. But I was producing enought milk for two babies. I was loosing weight like crazy. I had to increase my calorie intake. But my doctor recommend I join the HMBANA. (Human Milk Banking Assoication Of North America)Because of my abundant supply of breast milk. He also recommend I go to dietary so I can have help with my plan to increase the proper nutrient intakes to increase my calorie intake. I know a couple people who had the oppsite affect when breast feed their babies. But breast feeding dose not affect everybody the same . I know somewomen who could not prouduce enought of thier milk supply. But It dose the baby wonders. I had a hard time keeping my pregancy weight. I was worried about how skinny I was getting! When I went to the doctor. He explain to me that some women, do produce a very large breast milk supply. That can feed more babies. But If you are worried about loosing to much weight. You might be burning more calories than you are intaking!

    When I was having trouble with eating well and started loosing too much weight (serious stress in college led to no appetite and forgetting to eat), I was told to eat what I normally do and then add a protein shake in for a snack. For many people, the calories you drink don't make you as full as the calories you chew, so it's a pretty painless way to shoehorn some more calories into your diet.
    As far as Ensure goes, I didn't like the taste of their shakes so much (though this was years ago, so they've probably changed the formula), so I just drank SlimFast instead. They're basically the same thing -- a heavily fortified shake with protein -- it's just that one is marketed as a supplement and one is marketed as a meal replacement. The SlimFast French Vanilla flavor was my favorite.

    No way...the most you would burn would be 200-600 calories a day. There is no way that your body would burn more than that...even with twins. You MAY burn up to 700...but more than that and its wishful thinking. You should be EATING 1500-1800 calories a day...maybe that is where you are getting confused...but there is no way possible that the human body is BURNING 1600 calories a day by breastfeeding. I mean, you cannot possibly burn that many calories doing intensive cardio three times a day...no way you'll do it sitting down and nursing a baby. Sorry, but you're wrong there.

    Hmmm...maybe for some people. I'm probably the anomaly here. I find that I get more full from liquid foods, such as soup or drinks! For example, when I go out drinking, my stomach will usually get this really "full" feeling before I've drinken enough to feel the effects of the alcohol! And then when I try to eat food afterwards, I'm just too full! :-( I don't think adding the occasional protein shake will make you too full. But it might make you extra tired though...which might be a good thing to sleep right after eating, because then you won't burn off as many calories. However, becomming tired might be a bad thing, because you probably have a lot of work to do with the baby.

    Venus I know how much calories a average person should be intaking, but I have to intake more, have you ever heard of ectomorph. Yes I am a true ectomorph I go to hell to maintain my desire weight and to keep muscle. I also went thru hell during pregancy and breast feeding to provide the proper amount of nutrients, and keep my desire weight. During breast feeding I was told to maintain my pregnancy weight. Which again was very hard.

    Like CK mentioned, Ensure will get you there. I hate the taste of it (I used to have to drink it as a kid) but I've heard it tastes better than it did in the past.

    since Azaias allergic to milk,i cant have Ensure for my weight gain...i looked at the label at the store today. milk and soy ingredients.
    Doc appt. in the am for zaia...I cant wait to get this settled! i feel like I cant eat anything anymore!!!
