Default Is this the future for my boobies?

What does everyone think? First pic is of mine (at 6 month mark, now it's 8 months, they look pretty much the same) and on the next two are scary pictures I found on an implant site -- first pic at 3 months, second at 2 years. Am I going to look like this? I think that my right breast is beginning to look like her left.

To me I just think you are slightly uneven. However, I dont have your chest. Have you been to your doctor to see about the future of your breasts? Do they feel normal to you?

I think you should talk to the Dr. whom did your boobs. I see what you are saying, Lets hope for the best.

I talked to him at the appointment 2 months ago when this picture was taken. I told him I felt like my right implant was too low and I can feel a ridge along the outer part of by boob (where the crease is in the other pictures I posted). I can feel my bag right under my skin on the bottom of my right breast, it feels like it's trying to sink down more. He said it would be fine, just wear a supportive bra, but plastic surgeons never want to admit they've done anything wrong, they always just tell you you look beautiful. Sigh. I like my boobs when I'm wearing a bra, but when they're naked I get so frustrated. i sort of wish I hadn't got it done, but I do enjoy them very much even now, because I wear clothes more often than I'm naked, you know? Aaaanyway. I've posted threads on my BA before... I'm just a worry wort. And a perfectionist, lol. Thanks for your replies

I can't tell, I don't know much about boobies. But honestly? I'd save up for a redo- not because they look bad, but because you worry so much about them.

FWIW, they look better than most jobs I've seen.

My boobs are uneven, b/c they were before. It's almost 6months, and I'm not worried. But, if you feel you need them redone, do it. I like my asemetry, b/c they look so real that way. Yesterday, at work, a guy told me how lucky I am to have better boobs naturally then most dancers that bought 'em> I get comments like this all the time, even in contact, or from dancers. In fact, I think I'm more asemetrical then you are!!!

Do you naturally use one side more than the other? It is because I use one side (my right side) more than the other side that my right breast does look different than my left breast. This is natural on women without BAs so I would expect women with BAs to have a similiar problem.

We aren't built to be perfect beings. One eye is larger and different that the other (this is more prenounced on some people than others) plus one foot is bigger than the other and not to mention that we are generally longer on one side of our body than the other.

I would also agree that due to being such a worry wart that you should have money set-aside for any emergencies in relation to your boobs.

IMO everyone who gets a BA should have $$ set aside for future BA surgeries whether it be needed or not .. whether it be an emergency or just an "upgrade" as such.

the girl in the other pictures looks like she has capsular contracture, so you probably won't get that.

what don't you like about your boobs?

Yeah, like Em said it looks like she has CC. If anything, your boob may be starting to "bottom out," which is something else. Your difference in boobies is not very big. If your boobs were a little uneven before the BA, they are likley to be uneven after. And since they are now bigger, the difference in size would look more pronounced than before. They may be fine, or one might be starting to bottom out--If it is bottoming out, you need to follow the docs advice with the supportive bras. And if it gets worse, I think the procedure to fix it is called a pocket revision. They'd have to put in a few stitches to hold the implant in place. Not sure how much that would cost, but you may want to look into it. Good luck!

I was thinking bottoming out too, but I don't know. Were your breasts low on your torso pre-op? Did you get overs are unders? If you got unders, did the PS cut the muscle or fascia?

okay I missread your original post and thought the first 2 pics are yours so I was thinking "God everyone is crazy! She needs to get that fixed!" But I reread it, and if you look the same now as the first picture, than I think they look great. Nothing wrong. They aren't even obviously "done". However, if they are feeling really wierd than it's worth a second opinion maybe. Because you don't want any problems. And the advice to save for a redo is great. I think everyone with implants should, because they aren't permanent, you'll need to go back in eventually.

I can relate to LolaRose...my boobs are exactly the same way. One sits slightly lower than the other, and if you look really closely, the areolas aren't perfecty inline with each other. I've had my boobs done for over a year now. At first, I thought that it was because it was taking a long time for my implants to drop into place, and my right implant had always taken a little longer to drop than the left one(this is because I'm right-handed, so the right-side muscles are tighter). But then one day I looked at some pre-opt pictures of me drunkenly flashing the camera, and realized that my boobs were ALWAYS that uneven. I notice it, but not many other people do and everyone generally tells me that they look great and to not worry about it.

It is natural for one boob to be slightly lower than the other...just as it is natural for a guy's ball to be slightly lower than the other. Also, remember that our post-opt boobs often look like our pre-opt boobs(same consistency, shape, etc)...just bigger. Other than size, the ONLY changes that I've noticed with how my boobs look after surgery, is that they have a fuller, more filled-out look(my boobs looked lacking/empty before; but again, it's related to the size thing), and the implants make my nipples protrude out more now(my nipples were flat/nonexistent against my areolas before). Did your boobs have a slight uneveness before surgery, or is this something new? Either way, I think they look beautiful and I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I told my PS I thought I was bottoming out, but he was just like, "no, you're fine, you're beautiful, blah blah blah.." So frustrating! They seem to be in the same spot as before, so I guess they're low on my torso.. never really thought about it. But my nipples weren't so high before.

They're unders, but I don't know what he did with the muscle. I thought they always cut it. At any rate, I can feel the bag directly under my skin on the bottom, so they're not covered by muscle there.

What I'm worried about is this ridge I've got just above my real "crease" ... when I flex my muscle, it becomes more pronounced, but it's always there, and if the light hits it correctly, you can see a shadow. I'll take a picture of it..

This is perhaps the best picture I've ever taken of them.. they look alright here, I guess..

And this is me flexing (BOTH sides, I swear) so you can see the ridge better. It's still there when I'm not flexing, but you can see it better when I do. Sorry this picture's kinda scary

Sorry I'm so obsessed and stuff, lol.. It's just that my PS just keeps telling me it's fine.. How can I convince him it's not?!? I asked him about pocket revision, but he said that wouldn't work because my tissues aren't holding up the implant as well as they should.

Well, they don't always cut the muscle if you get unders. That's what's so special about trans-ax incision.

Anyway, you might want to send your pictures to a PS that specializes in repairs....see what he says. I always rave about Dr. DeWire and he's great with revisions (kind of a legend on the boobie boards.) And he'll tell you waht he thinks in e-mails.

^^ I would love to do that, but I would kind of feel like I was wasting his time.. I live in california.. isn't he on the east coast? I don't want to travel that far for a revision, and I don't want to solicit free advice from anyone..

Plus, I really dont (and won't in the near future) have enough money for a revision with a new PS. I can accept my boobs like this, but if they're going to get worse, then I'll have to figure out some way to get a revision. My PS says that they'll stay like this so long as I wear supportive bras, but then again, he'll be optimistic no matter what, so what does it matter if he says they're not going to get worse? Sigh. I need to just stop thinking about it!

well, send your pics to a PS that you might consider for a revision and ask him what he thinks.

Or put them on a BA board and see what they think. Those women on there are very knowledgable.

You shouldn't have to convince him that something is wrong. A good surgeon wants you to be happy with your result. A lot of doctors will refer you to someone in your area if you can't afford to travel. I would definitely get another doctor's opinion. I doubt they would charge you just to take a look.

It looks like your muscle is not completely covering your implant. The ridge on the bottom appears to be the edge of your muscle? Just my .02

Another girl that I work with had capsular contracture similiar to the girl you posted in the original pics. She said her breasts were very painful. Her doctor squeezed her breast really hard (OMG!!!) and it popped. Eventually it returned though.

^^^ Wow, the capsule popped? That's amazing, i've never heard of that. Just imagine, what an easy fix for an expensive problem! Too bad it didn't last, though. Wouldnt it be wonderful if all you had to do to fix capsular contracture was pop the capsule?

Anyway, my plan is that after I graduate (in a year) I'll get me a good payin' salary job, and then I'll be able to get a redo. Until then, I can live with it. Thanks for all your replies

DON'T LET ANYONE DO THIS!!!!!!!! PLASTIC SURGEON OR ANYBODY.

I had an irregularty and the P S jerk looked me right in the eye and said, "I don't see anything" I had another surgeon replace them, and that surgery had it's own set of problems.

don't let them pop or crack your implants, it can cause weakness or burst the implant inside you.

My only question is: Why get PS done when you can't afford any repairs? Didn't you even CONSIDER the fact that something MAY go wrong even slightly that you may need a re-do or "repair" as such and thus you should've saved up enough for not jus the surgery ... any emergencies you may have "down the track"?!?

I had to speak up as you posted how you can't afford a re-do. IMO no one should get PS unless they can afford re-dos or repairs even if nothing goes wrong for years you should still have an account set aside with enough $$ in it to cover costs.

I hope other people have learnt from this thread to make sure they have that emergency money set aside not just money for the actual PS itself before they even get anywhere near the surgeon's knife.

Not an attack on you personally, just a general thing I wanted to post.

It's interesting that you posted this... I've had my BA now for two months. My right breast looks very similar to yours when I flex my muscle....but when it's relaxed you can't see anything. I rushed into my PS's office on friday worried about this. he wasn't there but his associate was. He looked at it and said that it was fine...to massage it and see how it settles in a few months. He said cause I'm very skinny on top that little things are more prone to show and that it could just be scar tissue pulling the implant when I flex. I'm hoping it lessens in time....now you've got me really worried!!

As for unevenness...my PS told me mine would be slightly uneven because my ribcage was angles higher on one side than the other. My boobs are no more uneven than they were before.

i do have answer to this.. might not be very good, but I have one.. At the time, I was dancing, and had money coming out of my ears. So much money, I didn't know what to do with it. I thought I was going to keep stripping for 10 years or something. Everything was great.

Then a series of events happened.. I suddenly got really sick of the job... And I met my current boyfriend, who is the most wonderful man in the world, and he never told me to stop, but if I asked him if he liked it, he would reply "not really, but if you like it, then i don't want you to stop." Long story short, I quit. No more money coming out of ears.

So... yeah, poor planning skills on my part. It's possible, (god forbid) that if my boyfriend and I separate in the near future, I'll go back to dancing. But it really is a job that wore on me pretty hard. I should have saved up for a redo before I quit

It looks like the right one has a teeny bit of bottoming out. It's barely noticeable. But the other issue is something I'm surprised your surgeon is unconcerned about. It looks like muscle flex deformity. You can see more about it here:
