Okay okay... I may be the first to admit it aloud, but often when I hear white people talking about cool music...... it is TOTAL foreign language to me and I'm tired of being in the dark damn it *no pun intended*. I want to dance to more diverse music, and actually learn more about underground music. Yes I have read the current threads and previous ones. But I want a more open discussion concerning my total ignorance of broader music. So feel free to leave links, advice, and history on your favorite artists. I once waited tables at a dive bar just too suck up all the info and get exposure to the other side. There was this cover band that came in too play, and the crowd kept shouting "Lynard Skynard", I turned to one of the girls that worked their and asked " who is that", she practically fell over LMAO she was shocked as HELL that I didn't know who that band was, so needless to say School of Rock 101 started that day, and I'm embarrassed that I had no clue who they were, I loved half of the songs they played. So let's play educate the coloured girl j/k. No seriously, y'all please help me in my attempt to broaden my horizons.

The genre doesn't necessarily matter, just cool tunes. I hope you guys can feed my insatiable desire to learn about other artist that I wouldn't normally listen too. Okay... I'm ready. School of Rock is now open for session.
