    Default Outfit for Audition...Maybe??

I was told by a lady at the club I visited that I need a "Cute Little Outfit" for my audition. I have been looking around and I found this set at La Senza. I was just wondering if it is cute and little enough to audition in or am I way off?

The club's dress code seems pretty laid back from what I saw. I want to hold off from ordering stuff online until I know exactly what I'm looking for and how stuff fits me. Yes... so here are a couple pictures of it on me. The tags are still on because I don't know if I'm keeping it yet. Also the garters are removeable but I think I would get some stockings to wear with it.

    So what do you think?

You don't necessarily need to get stockings for outfits with garters, it looks cute having the garters swing free.

As far as the outfit, I think it's cute for your first outfit, and it flatters you very well. However I would save up and invest in some real stripperwear as soon as you can since it's made of sturdier materials.

I Would not be able to wear that at my club but u said they are pretty casual in their dress code. u look really sexy in it but i agree with CorsicaFire that u should not go investing in much of that sort of stuff coz u will need stuff specifically made for stripping. u will learn the difference when u start and see some of the stuff available - it really does need to be more "hardy"

also check out cute cheap things like this:
    http://www.yandy.com/Shopping/products/prod_239.asp
(which flatter seemingly most everyone i have seen try it)

but that looks great for starting. you will definitely need more than one outfit once you get hired.

    Love it!

I know at my club that would be totally suitable, it looks really nice and it flatters your body, go for it! I get some of my stuff a tLa Senza and never had problems with it. I find the customers tend to like it more, they think it's more "real" go figure...but hey, whatever makes more $$!

that'd work fine for a first outfit. besides, you don't want to invest too much money before you give it a try.

Looking good, girl. I agree that you could let the garters fly by themselves, however, I have had a TON of guys go nutso when I wear thigh -highs. Literally, almost every single time I wear them, I get guys that compliment me on them...blah blah blah.

But yeah, do whatever you feel the most confident in. Also, as much as I love the stockings, I cant do pole tricks in em (no gripping), so I dunno if this might apply to ya....

    Good luck!!
I'd grab my trumpet and I'd do a stripper sound, like the old Louis Armstrong, real raspy. And the people would go nuts! Then I knew that the sexual, sensual, guttural sound, that throbbing sound, is where it's at.

Agreed with everyone else. That outfit is fine for an audition - hell it's fine to wear daily at alot of clubs. It won't hold up long though. Looks good on you, so rock it girl!

Well, because it's just lingerie and not the lycra stuff made by regular strippergear manufacturers.

But alot of strippers wear that kinda thing, including me.

Yeah I can kinda see that then. But doesnt lingerie stuff count as pre-"stripper clothes"? Wouldnt it be the original stripper wear?

I dunno, I see it all as "stripper clothes" as compared to... jeans... or a mumu.

Is real lingerie that bad for a stripper? I thought I could be the only one in a club to wear lingerie to look more classy and stand out... :s

Thanks for all the replies!!! I am so happy!! I ordered a couple of things from snaz75.com yesterday like some dance thongs and a mesh top and shoes.

When I go home to Ontario I'm going to go to an actual dancewear store and try some stuff on. I haven't been able to find a store like that here. I am just so scared to order it online and then it not fit or look good and then I'm stuck with it!!

That IS true, however real lingerie will not be made from as sturdy materials as dancerwear, thus not holding up as well.

i think well made lingerie is the best way to go. if you decide after trying out that dancing is for you, i say invest in some awesome, classy, sexy, lingerie. it's more unique and (in my opinion) sexier than most of the spandex/lycra dance wear.

It's very nice for a dance outfit. Oh, and stripping is a great job for a college student, maybe you can move out of your dorm soon! J/k. I'm a big fan of non-stripper looking dance clothes, and for getting them cheap. I've had some super pricy stuff ruined, stolen, snagged, spilt on, burnt. With all that, why buy something expensive you may not like in a few months anyways. Lots of dancers update their look, work at different clubs (w/ different dress codes) and change tastes, so go for the cheeap stuff untill you find you stripper style.

definitely take off the garters and wear stockings... Nfld is nude, so the garters would only be a pain in the ass there, unless you get tie-side thongs and whip them off from under your skirt. And I certainly think that qualifies as cute little outfit

I actually haven't gone yet. I am waiting until I head back out to school in January, since I'm at home right now.

I'm just going to go to so many clubs around here and keep looking for neat dance wear stuff.

I will be sure to post when I go to audition in January!! I am just going to pick a day and go so I don't keep putting it off!!!
