I do have to say that Memphis mileage is the highest I've ever seen or heard of. The clubs in downtown L.A. and City of Industry look like Baptist church socials when compared to Platinum Plus and the other clubs I've seen in Memphis - and those are the clean ones. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bitching, but when I heard that lapdances are forbidden and the clubs are supposed to be topless only, I couldn't stop laughing.
The last time I was at Platinum Plus, I talked about it with one of the dancers and she gave me a wave of dismissal and said, "They come in once in awhile and write tickets. The club pays the ticket, it's no problem." She then proceeded to dance, giving almost as much mileage as I got in the Nevada brothel. On another visit, I got a double lapdance from two of the girls and spent the whole dance praying that vice wouldn't show up.
So I kinda understand. Cleaning up those clubs just might be a good thing.
Especially if there are customers getting beat up and robbed in them.
Kinda makes ya not sorry for the people there when you hear about a guy being charged 100 bucks for NOT having sex with someone in there.

I was born and raised in Memphis and worked for a lot of these clubowners including Danny who was sent to federal prison. Memphis is a very rough city with a lot of racial tension and crime. Cops have always been busting clubs hit and miss, but as far as assaults go, there are no more of a chance of being assaulted in a club as there is anywhere else in town.
I'll never dance or live there again for various reasons, but just like in any city, new strip club laws aren't the answer to the problems. That just criminalizes the dancers and makes things worse.

This thread in my opinion should be in Club Chat.
