    How many calories a day do i need to burn to lose weight FAST!!!! (before christmas?) At the moment i am burning 200 calories on the treadmill. what is a good calore goal on the treadmill to set? is this adequate I just want to fell like its melting of and soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Those machines are bullshit. They are so off its ridiculous. Although the treadmill is one of the best cardio machines to loose weight on. Just worry about doing enough time say 30-45 min at least 5 days a week to burn fast enough. When I lost my 30lbs I did anywhere from 30-45 min 4-5 days a week. I didnt weight train too hard so it took me about 3 months to loose.

    How fast is fast by the way? and how much do you want to loose?

    Remember, you don't want to lose weight too quickly. Not only is it unhealthy, it will leave you with loose, flabby skin. You shouldn't lose more than two pounds a week.

    I want to lose about 8ibs so not much but it will make a huge diffrence to the way i look i will be nearly back to pre preganacy weight! It has taken 3 years I want to do it by january so in a month or is this to much to ask????

    you need to burn 3500 extra calories in order to lose one pound. How mony calories you're eating is just as important as how many your burning.

    Remember not to dip below 1200(?) calories per day. Your body will go into starvation mode.

    Also, do more weight training, too. Muscle burns more calories in a resting state. However, since muscle weighs more than fat, the scale may suggest that you're plateau-ing or even (gulp) gaining weight, but your body fat will decrease.

    No not at all but will take immense amounts of work and dedication. Your diet is going to have to be in the best shape every. No cheat meals.. even if you do its handful of anything. Thats it. I mean the lowest you can go on calories and still survive healthy is 1200. You can do this in 4 weeks. However I hate scales and think they mess with my mind so I recommend a plastic measuring tape instead to measure your progress. I would also suggest doing some weight training too to speed up the process.

    I've learned the best way is to not count calories but to count carbs... and make sure you have good rigourous exercise routine

    Simple math yields the answer: Take in more cals than you burn off=gain. Burn off more cals than you take in=lose. If you are trying to lose weight, you need to be burning more cals than you take in on a daily basis. I agree with the other posts that losing a drastic amt. of weight in a short period of time f-cks with you body...bad....

    So my advice, keep track of exactly how many calories you eat during the day (ie, plan your meals in advance), and do your workout accordingly. Cardio plus weight training , with weight training not working the same muscle groups two days in a row (with the exception of calves and abs). Take at least one day off a week.
    I'd grab my trumpet and I'd do a stripper sound, like the old Louis Armstrong, real raspy. And the people would go nuts! Then I knew that the sexual, sensual, guttural sound, that throbbing sound, is where it's at.

    If you want a rough guideline in comparison with the "calorie count" on the treadmill... I was burning no less than 500 when I was losing weight fairly quickly (not rapidly) and stably.

    Now because of training, the machine never goes under 800. I don't lose weight because of how much I eat, but I don't gain either.

    I try and hit at least 400 calories on the treadmill every time I go to the gym. But I also weight train and do other cardio machines too.

    You need to burn more calories than you are eating to lose weight fast . Those calorie burning calculators Will tell you that too . Its pretty hard to do and not so healthy blah blah blah ....8lbs should be a cake walk if you are really committed !! I mean 3 weeks you should be able to lose 6-15lbs depending on your metabolism . Try like either circuit training or tons of cardio .......protein and veggies , eggs peanut butter , chicken , salads ......I am starting my diet today
