    Default speaking of shoes

which type of shoe (example image a plus) do you think you dance best in? why? do you dance more energetic? slower?

i think my best as far as being able to dance in would be chunky boots...
as far as the way my body looks.. 7 inch spiked heels with a 2 inch front platform

i'm asking this to see what girls who dance similar to me wear. i'm still trying to balance really sexy with "i can dance like myself and not just prance around". i mean, i can dance fine in tall ridiculously thin shoes, i can just do MUCH better in my boots. too bad they don't go with everything and they lack in making my ass look as fantastic as higher heels. :/

i dance the best in the thin stiletto (spike) heel because they make my legs and butt look the best and coz im used to dancing in them
i dont dance well in chunky heels coz they seem to weigh me down more.
i don't wear 7 inch tho its too high and im scared of rolling my ankle.
my max is 6 inch heel with 2 inch platform.

i think u can see the type of heels that i wear from my avatar pic.

I dance best (fast when the music applies, energetic, more than just walkin around) in 6" heels tops, but I can dance in 7"ers.... I can turn and spin best in spikes... for some reason I just cant turn as fluidly in chunk heels. I also dancer better and with more confidence in a shoe with an ankle strap. I cant function in slip ons to save my life. I also dance better in closed toe shoes. Here are some of my faves, in order of fave-ness!

(I actually dont have these, I converted a pair of the top pic into this, buckle-wise once... was quite comfy!)

(I can dance faster in platform-less shoes, but I cant dance as long, they hurt faster for me, also I cant do leg lifts in them...)

Oh gosh - I have never worn "stripper shoes" for more than 20 minutes! I am about comfort not style (-: (Not that I like stripper shoes or think they're nessesarily stylish anyway... )
    My current favorites are these.

The only problem is that I cant do the upright splits against the pole in them because they are wedges, but I just bought a whole bunch of shoes in the Demonia "Dolly" range so hopefully problem solved. I am a "high energy" dancer too. My rule of thumb is to never wear any shoes that I cant hurdle in!

oops, sorry, I moved it to SG . . .

    I like to dance barefoot! But I don't, so I generally prefer a 6" heel/2" platform.

    Here are my current faves:

These are my favorites for normal stage dancing (I'm fairly energetic) - the clear ones. I like a 7" spike heel best - the spikes that aren't quite so pointy. I don't do so well in chunky heels, can't seem to turn as easily and it seems like they weigh my feet down. I need clear vinyl uppers because my feet are a little wide and they stretch to fit me better, without getting too loose. Oh and the blinky lights for attention-getting.

I also like these - mostly for polework and because they also let me pad my knees. And I LOVE the laces up the back I have to get a size bigger in boots though - which isn't bad because then I can fit some nice comfy gel pads in them

I like these for walking and less energetic stage dancing, very comfy - I get them made with an ankle strap. I can't do slip-ons either.

and i dance in what's most comfortable, because i have foot problems, namely arthritis. right now im in these by lucious:
they are 6 inch platforms. they elongate my legs and i feel very steady in them. then again, i feel very steady in any type of stiletto heel, although im bound to trip in sneakers or flip flops.

I have always danced best in open toe 6 inch with a lower than average platform heels. Oh and an ankle strap, I've got to have the ankle strap no mules for me.

I've noticed alot of people on here don't like lightups. I don't have a pair but I think they are cute, I never see them at my club.

Personally I try to buy shoes styles I don't see very often. In the past all my shoes were 6in spikes with straps. Now I wear 5 or 5.5in with platform, they are alot more comfortable and that inch less made a huge difference- everyone noticed that I went down.

These are the most 'booring' pair that I've ever owned, but they are very comfortable and I didn't have to get a sticky sole added on the bottom.

I would like to try wegdes or a slighty chunky heel because I hear that they are comfy.

First, I must say I am in LOVE with Bridgette's store!!!!! She has the best shoe collections than any other site I have seen, and I can't wait until my Christmas shopping is done so I can go on a shoe-spending spree!!!!!

Anyway, I use a 6" spike heel with a 2" platform, and all of my current shoes are open-toe. I have 1 pair of boots, which have a 5" spike heel. Never tried chunky shoes!
With all the stupid things guys will say, stay cool.

"Her apartment is littered with soggy G-strings and cheap 8-inch heeled shoes, along with empty tubes of body glitter, mascara, prescription drugs, zit cream, Aqua Net and Polaroid pictures of her and her "friends" engaged in some drinking and dancing on St. Patrick's Day last year. " My God....

Paige- Who makes the first pair of shoes in your post? The close toe blacks with the ankle strap lower on the foot?

Bridg- In that "I love these shoes" thread you said you were gonna put an ankle strap on the flower wedges and put up a pic. So you did it? Did you have Karo attach the strap or did you do it? And picture please!!!

Ok. Sorry I didn't see all these questions before. I didn't mean to cause a stir. LOL

To get an ankle strap added to Karo shoes, if you're ordering from my site, you just select the appropriate box when adding it to your cart from the shoe's page. For example, on , you have a choice of sizes, colors, heel heights, with or without ankle strap and choice of widths. Just make your selections and "add to cart". Some options cost a little extra - narrow or wide widths, changing heel heights, and adding an ankle strap. I only charge regular price for the shoes and then add what Karo charges me for the customizations. I don't markup the customization charges, so the $3 or $4 charges are my cost.

Karo sizes. I've been wearing their shoes and they are running the same as most other brands for me. I wear 7s in most brands and I wear 7s in Karos. Unfortunately they don't have a size chart yet. I will ask them about that.

Width sizes are: Medium (B) - this is what all normal shoes are made in, unless specifically made wide or narrow. Wide (W), Extra wide (WW), Narrow (A), Extra Narrow (AA). If you know you normally wear a WW or AA, you can certainly put that in the comments box at checkout and I'll get it done. I am considering adding those Extra wide or Extra narrow options to the order pages.

Karo has told me they make their widths according to standard shoe width sizes, as listed above.

Here are some links to good info on exactly how to measure your feet and convert to sizes (scroll down the pages):
    - how to measure
    - width chart
    - Women's US size chart measured foot length in inches

Keep in mind, that with clear vinyl uppers they tend to stretch alot more than other types so I wouldn't go too wide. I normally wear a wide in dress shoes but in clear stripper shoes the normal width is fine for me because it stretches so much, and I don't like them to get too loose.

Penny, I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Are you saying your feet usually are too narrow OR too long, depending on the shoe? Because that usually means your feet are narrow. If you're getting shoes that are too short so they'll fit your feet's width, a narrow width in the correct size might be better for you. But need more info before making a real recommendation. I can also call them and ask for specifics - they have so far been excellent at answering all my questions.

Oh and yes, I got Karo to put a clear ankle strap onto my 6" flower wedges. It's fabulous! Sorry I didn't post the pic - I forgot. Too much moving and other assorted stuff. Here's the pic.

Also note that this is the clear strap they add - it's a reinforced one so should hold up better. On some shoes you have the option of getting a patent (or whatever) strap to match the rest of the shoe.

EVERY time I wear these at work I get girls all jealous

I love lucious shoes, they're the best! Where do you get them? I can't seem to find them online, but they're so much more comfy then pleasers, which are 2nd for me. Ellies seem to be too narrow
I dance in basic 6 3/4'' platform heels w/ no ankle strap. I started w/ the straps, but I break shoes moving my feet idly side to side. I do fine, but I'm not espically energetic, and we don't have a pole.
