    Default Stripper shoe brand recommendations?

Since I'm a newbie I've only had one pair of stripper shoes, all clear plastic with ankle strap but the heel's prob twice as thick as spikes. I CANT get the hang of walking in heels, as much as I try with regular stillettos on a daily basis my feet are killing me after 1/2 an hour.

Is there a specific brand that you guys can recommend to me that are more comfortable??????????

Were not allowed to were boots at my club... I've noticed that all the girls wear 6" or higher. That's crazy, I'm soooooo scared to fall, let alone dance on a stage infront of anyone.

PLease some advice from the pros

Jante's were my first and best to walk in. Pleaser's are good too.

i like tony's, ellie and lucious.
i go for heavy padding on the bottom and a lot of pleasers arent padded well enough. and newbie make sure you get an ankle strap shoe.
if they are giving you blisters either heat them with a blowdryer to stretch them out or buy dr scholls gel stuff and super glue to the inside of the top of your shoe, so you get more padding. Your feet just need to adjust.

and here are some good ideas.

My shoes, primarily, come from 3 companies. Ellie, Pleaser, and Highest Heel.

I really like my pleasers. Guys are always like, "Don't your feet hurt?" But I was really suprised to find that these are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. The only problem is if you get the hidden tip jar ones, eventually they kind of sink in and that kind of hurts the balls of your feet, I think. I might stuff them with newspaper.

^^If they're sinking you probably need to get a new pair. And I'm not saying this to get business. I don't even sell Pleasers yet.

thanks guys I guess I'm gonna look for ellies or pleasers since those are the ones mentioned the most. Were you all good at wearing high heels b4 you started dancing? I'm 22 and I've always wanted to be able to wear heels, all my friends wear them as if nothing and i can't I know that some peoples achiles tendon is longer or shorter making it more difficult.

anybody else out there like me that now wears them like a pro... is it really something you gotta get used to cuz I've been trying for a couple of years and nothing

Yeah I'm planning on buying a new pair, but the kind without the "secret compartment" since I don't even use it. In the meantime I stuffed it with newspaper and that's working out okay.

I think platform boots are easier to walk in at first because of the increased ankle support, although they might hurt your feet more (if they're not the right size) than the strap shoes.

I had very rarely ever wore hills except for special occasions (high school dances, friends weddings, etc.). I started dancing last Friday and decided that if I was going to do it, I may as well start out right. I bought a pair of Ellies 711. I walked in them for about 15minutes before dancing and loved the shoes. I dont know if the club you are dancing at has shoes for sale there as my club does, if not there are lots of places you can order them from. These shoes didn't hurt my feet hardly at all (I was sore from dancing), but the shoes were quiet comfortable!!! Good luck!!

I don't like Ellie. For some reason, it runs too wide for my feet. I like Pleaser 6" heels. Their 5" heels are a hit-or-miss for me. As 5" ones are my preference, this was a big deal. Also, the padding is so-so.

I tried Karo Shoes. They are really damn comfy. The soles have more traction. They come in wide, medium, and narrow. I love the fit.

I haven't experimented with Highest Heel yet. Probably will soon since other girls seem to like them.

Anyway, 6" heels are the most comfortable for me. Less of an angle and not an extrordinary of a platform.

I think that's why I LOVE Ellie! My feet are a tad on the wide side and Ellie fits me perfectly. I am still pretty new (only been at this a little over a month), and it took me NO time to adjust to my 7" Ellie heels. By the second night at work I was shimmying all over the stage. They are super comfortable, way more comfortable than most "normal" heels I've worn.

Definitely go for an ankle strap when starting out, I saw one new girl kick a heel off in the middle of her stage set the other night! It was only the second song out of three, too, so she had to dance around with no shoes on until someone fetched it for her to put back on!

I NEVER wore high heels before I started dancing, and after my first few days I did fine (aside from the one time I tried with too high of a platform -- make sure your shoes are wide enough or you might fall! Ellie shoes are just BARELY wide enough for me.)

The big thing to remember, to keep your feet from hurting, is to start with about a 1 inch platform (which takes impact but isn't tall enough to destabilize you) and to make sure your weight is forward on your toes. A good pair is the Ellie M-Juliet -- they look very professional but aren't badly challenging. Chunky heels are good too if you haven't gotten used to putting the weight on your toes.

I walk very differently when I'm dancing and not dancing! I can go many hours in heels at work, but the time I tried to wear my boots in on the way there -- with only a 2 inch rise -- they hurt and pinched until I started getting on stage; then they were comfortable because my center of gravity is totally different when I'm working.
