Default One More Geeky Thread Tonight... Then I'm Done

So... school's just about over for a bit and I'm looking around amazon.com for a new book or two to keep myself occupied with... I've never read the sci-fi/ fantasy genre... anyone have any recomendations? Perferably one with good sex scenes (they have sex scenes, right?)!
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

Read the entire "Dune" series. There's 13 novels now. Good books to read over the winter. Make you appreciate rain and snow. Some sex. Not a lot, though.
"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

    Check out Gregory Maguire's books.

Start with Wicked: The Life And Times Of The Wicked Witch Of The West. He writes it like a prequel to The Wizard Of Oz. There's some sex in there too. That Elphaba was a sexy witch!

There is a sequel to that one called Son Of A Witch.

He also does a few others based on other popular fairly tales like Cinderella's stepsisters and Snow White and the Dwarves.

Pure fantasy and I think the man is a genius. I've lost tons of sleep reading these.

Ok, I hate the genres, but have to deal with them pretty regularly at my 'other' job.

Robert Jordan is particularly popular, as is Anne McCaffrey. Can't vouch for the quality of their work though.

I read the first four of the Dune series...the first book (Dune) I liked, the others not so much.

Isaac Asimov is a great writer, and a lot of his sci-fi stuff is pretty cool. I make an exception for ol' Isaac.

    Feature costumes for sale!

I'm not a sci-fi guy, but I was reccommended to read Riverworld. I don't know a lot about it but I think it might have some sex in it.

foundation series from asimov was good.

don't read much, but i think sci-fi is known for not having much sex.

to get even geekier i really liked "Songs of Distant Earth" by Arthur C. Clarke as a kid because it was the first sci-fi book i read that did not break any fundamental laws of physics.

    may i recommend the library.
