    Default Pole Dancing Classes

Hi, I've been interested in taking pole dancing classes but I guess I've been too intimidated to go. I hear it was great exercise. Do you think these are any good? Do you learn much from it? Do most pole dancers go this route in learning how to pole dance or do most of them kind of just wing it? Are there any that you can recommend in the san francisco area?

I've looked at a few sites:

sedusa seems most promising. it seems to be the cheapest one and they have a lot of poles.

    Any feedback is most appreciated.

    Thanks!

Many dancers just wing it from practice before and after hours at the club, or when it's dead. You should check out "Alena Downs", she's a great pole dancer and teacher, and posts on here.

I've heard quite a few negative things about sFactor.

Can't really say myself though, as I dont know much about it apart from the stuff I hear.
Personally, I'd go for Alena and if I didn't live so damn far away, I'd have them with her

Well, having seen the youtube demo of Alena doing the shoulder mount, I think that would be the way to go for me. Being from the UK, I dont think it would be possible to do the direct option, though I'd love that!

Alena - are the online lessons available soon? I'm gonna pm you........

I have had to remove the link due to people downloading it and reposting it for commercial use.

but if you go to YouTube and search polejunkies or alenadowns, it will show you the remaining videos!

I've been going to Sedusa Studios for the last 2 years, and I'm still learning new things. That's how great Sedusa has been.

The studio owner, Carol, has enormous respect for strippers, and incorporates their advice about dancing into her classes. The studios (there's one in So. San Francisco and one in Los Gatos) mimic a strip club in terms of lighting and general decor, and every student gets her own pole.

Sedusa also has phenomenal lap dance classes.

When I started at Sedusa, I was just curious about pole dancing, but when I decided to take it to the next level and audition at a club, I had no problem. Other girls were shocked to find that I had never been a stripper before (despite the fact that I fell out of the DJ booth after giving him my music!).

    Good luck!

I think the only downside to videos/prerecorded online lessons, is that there is no-one there to tell you if you are going wrong.
Just like those "teach yourself spanish" tapes which always tell you "you're doing great!" when you really could be terrible!
