John Lennon was murdered.
Any favorite songs of his? I always really like Across the Universe.

Watching the Wheels - always thought it was a cool song , he went way before he was suppose to - so much more to create .

Mind Games and Instant Karma.
Wow, is it 26 years already? I remember being in sophomore year in HS when it happened. Whoa.

"Watching The Wheels" is a great tune. Also "(Just Like) Starting Over" and "Woman". I remember hearing "Beautiful Boy" not too long after the birth of my son and feeling all smooshy inside. 26 years, wow. I was 8, but I distinctly recall my friend's mother crying about it, telling us how senseless it was.
waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.
I love beautiful boy. It's so beautiful . what a great loss, such a talented person with so much to share still. His music is so heartfelt, I can cry, just letting it wash over me.
Many of his Beatles compositions...."Instant Karma" & "Jealous Guy." BTW Roxy Music covered "Jealous Guy" as a tribute to him when he was killed.
Gosh 26 year now. I remember hearing on the radio when it happened and not actually knowing who John Lennon was, though realising that it was someone very important. I knew who The Beatles were at least, I think i even knew all their first names, but not last. From memory I was listening to the Top 40 on Britains Radio 1 when the news flash came through, I think The Police or Adam And the Ants maybe were rumoured to be number 1 that week and I was excited to hear them. I didnt like John lennons stuff much at the time and that was all we heard for weeks in the charts afterwards. I love his stuff now though!

My son told me today that his English teacher played Beatles musiic for his class and he thought it was pretty good. I hads to explain how all the generations since the beginning have had to independently discover how good the Beatles were.
"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"
