My Mother-In-Law deals with Vertigo constantly. I'll give her a call in a bit when she's home from work and ask her what works for her. I'll let you know what she says.

Oh, christ--I went through a several year long period where I got vertigo on a regular basis, and it really sucks!

It's an inner ear thing, and there wasn't much I ever found to combat it. I didn't go to doctors much, but when I did they didn't help.

Since then I have heard of some medecine that supposedly really helps, but I forget the name, sorry. I will try to remember. It might even be over the counter stuff.

If you just got Depo, it's probably hormonal. Cripes, I don't know what to say. I wonder if motion sickness patches would help? The kind you put behind your ears? Can't hurt to try...

Ginger helps with nausea. If you can get a big bulb of it, you can chew on little bits of it and make tea from it, it should help some.

I am occasionally dizzy & nauseated. I do use fresh ginger, as overwhelming as it is to chew a chunk of it at once, it does work well. Can you use Dramamine? It's a motion sickness drug. Unfortunately, these drugs will make you drowsy.....

If you feel vertigo coming on while you are traveling or trying to get to the airport, can you find someone to escort you around? You can also mention to the flight attendant that you're feeling ill from hormone medication (versus flu) and you need to be watched.

Find a massage therapist who is certified in something called "cranio-sacral therapy". It is the only thing I have heard of helping vertigo. It would be worth a try, and can't hurt.

In our inner ear, we have these little "pillars" that help our body figure out its positioning. When one gets vertigo, the area these "pillars" are in fills with fluid and the "pillars" float. Small doses of Valium helps put the "pillars" in the right place.

Also, Meclizine and non-prescription Dramamine help with the dizziness.

Emetrol is AMAZING when it comes to nausea.
