    Default I'm a damn donut.

I hate tanning. I'm Irish/Portuguese. I was not meant to tan. I can't do Mystic, as it flakes off and gives me buttcrack lines (I'm in a nude club). Lotions (no matter the brand) always end up uneven. So, I've been tanning for two weeks, alternating bed and booth, because I know that the boys (for the most part) like tanned girls.

And I look like a goddamn donut. I have a white, untannable spot about 3 inches in diameter around my belly button. Its a serious case of what the fuck. This ever happen to anyone but me? Or, like I suspect, am I just a freak?

That must be the Irish spot.

Seriously though, as someone with some tannable darker heritage and equally lighter non-tannable heritage I feel your pain. I always tanned well except for certain areas of my lower leg.

Thankfully I was the only one who ever seemed to give a shit.

Maybe if you keep at it your tan will adjust itself a bit?

LMAO I'm sorry, your post just cracked me up "a serious case of what the fuck" lol. I have the same problem, not around my belly button though, just random spots that wont tan. You could try using like the jergens lotion that gives gradual color just in that area, maybe it would even it out enough that it wouldn't be noticable, without turning you orange or splotchy.

Why not just be all lovely and pale? There are plenty of tan girls out there, but plenty more men (and women) who like a more delicate complexion.

It could be a fairly common skin fungus called tinea versicolor. It only shows up when the rest of your skin starts to tan. Try rubbing an antifungal cream....like you would use for athlete's foot or jock itch on it.

^^ nope Ive had tinea for years. tinea happens on peoples backs, and anywhere else that sweat can get trapped. which is why to avoid those spots showing up I tan standing up. Id get mine between the shoulder blades

    and anti fungal doesnt work

you need to use selsan blue , scrub it and leave it to dry on the skin, shower it off 8 hours later.

lamisil ( anti fungal ) isnt effective.

trust me on this, i've had it 12 years. I only get it from tanning beds and only when I lay down.

She wouldnt have it just there. it would be spreading over time. because thats what it does.

Its just a spot that doesnt tan.

lower back spots or between the shoulder blades dont tan because its a pressure point ( swear to you ) I'd try different postions in the bed, and if that doesnt work just use self tanner in that area applying it with a sponge.
