Default The Mens Club Las Vegas

OK. I got hired for the Mens club today. Heres the deal:

Nice club. Very upscale. Gown/cocktial type dress, can change into a 2 piece after 1am, no bikinis/bootyshorts.
Housefees are HIGH. they said ballpark of 125 a night, not allowed to go offstage. Everyone is onstage. They said they discourage/dont allow tipping to the bouncers/floorhosts, and that is why the housefees are higher. No playing favorites to whoever tips the best. Bouncers will be fired for asking for tips or playign VIP favorites if you dont tip.

You work there for 30 days. After 30 days, if yuo like it, they ask you to hang up your sherrifs card there. They dont allow you to work at other clubs. They want to keep the same girls, and prevent a ton of girls from flying in for conventions, weekends.

They havea raw bar, and an upscale restraunt. Customers can take dancers in there for dinner for a girlfriend experience, they did not say if there was a price for that, or if dancers set their own price.

They are having their VIP opening party around the 27th of this month. It will nto be a 24 hour club, as they dont feel you can properly clean a club whiel it is open, and it will close down for just a few hours each day, early morning. I think she said they will close around 6 and reopen around noon.

Its going to be a very nice place, and I hope they get enough business to even out the high housefees. It is nice they are limiting the amount of dancers to give everyoen a fair chance to make money. I think she said they would have around 100 dancers, mabye a little more.

They are going for the top of the line with this club, the fees don't surprise me. In fact, I think the only way fees would go down is if they weren't getting the amount of girls they wanted through the door and I don't think that's going to happen!! Congrats on getting hired hun!!!!!

You do not audition. They hire based on looks when you walk in, since after 30 days working there, if they like you and you like them, they will ask you to hang up your card there, and not work in any other clubs. They did ask about my experience, and where else i had worked before.

Everyone goes on stage means just that. You can't pay extra to stay off stage and not dance. You have to dance on stage.

The club is very beautiful. It kind of looks liek the foundation room at mandalay bay. There is nto a lot of seating in the main area of the club. There is a LOT of VIP seating. All upstairs is VIP There is a sushi bar and they also searve fine dining like steaks and stuff. You can eat anywehre in the club. Its like a restraunt/strip club mix. Supposedly, the food is incredible.

They ahve thsi "excuse booth" its pretty cool. You go into this booth, and pick, say, hospital, and this booth starts making hospital sounds. So you call your wife and say hun, Im stuck at the hospital, my friend cut his hand. the coolest part is if you arent a good liar, the screen in the booth feeds you lies. There is scrolling text on the computer screen feeding you the lie."hun, my friend john cut his hand and he needs stitches, I wont be home for hours..."

There is a shower upstairs, for customers viewing pleasure. There is no price for a shower show, girl can charge whatever she wants, or nothing at all if she chooses.

The stage is nto set up for tipping, there are no chairs around the stage. I guess you can walk up and tip if you wanted. When the girl comes out, She startes off above the bar in a high stage, and then walks down the stairs to the main stage. There is also a piano bar at the entrance to the club, which has either abelly dancer, or a stripper, depending on the night I guess.

The doors finaly opened around 10ish. It was slow at first, most of the customers seemed to be groups opf girls with 1 or 2 guys, I assumed strippers checking the place out. Around 1 am it started getting busier, but nothign spectacular. Most peopel were just there checkign it out, not really buying. I had a customer come in that I knew from the Rhino, I made money off him, and then I went home. I was soo tired and bored ffrom sitting around for so long waiting for something to start happening.

I heard they are payign the cabbies 40 a head to start, and see hwo that works, but my customer that came in came by cab, and he said the cabbie told him we werent even open yet, and tried to take him to Sapphire. * which makes me kinda proud for sapphire, sicne I waited so long for them to get thier shit together)

The hosue fees are cool. You can either pay a flat fee of 75 before 8, or 115 after 8. OR you can pay no house fees, and 15% of your nightly earnings. OR you can pay like, 20 before 8 and 10% of yoru earnings. They say there is no tipping of thebouncers for VIP rooms. They dont want girls getting hsutled and fucked over for VIP if you dont tip bouncers. HOWEVER. mandatory tip outs are high for eveyrone else. 10 bucks to the dj is fine, but the 10 bucks to the house mom is to high. They have 3! 30 bucks total to the hosuemoms. PLUS. they have the valet guy you tip, btu they also have the "valet facilitator" who you also need to tip. And what this guy does is walk you in, and when you are ready to leave he walks you out. Nice to have someone carry my bags for me, but I can do it myseld and save a few extra bucks.

I think the club has greta potential. It is not a spot for a group of 25 year old kids. Its to classy, not a party scene like the rhino is. Its also mostly VIP. So it definatly set up to cater to older guys with money. If they can attract that type of customer, the club willbe good. It does have potential.
Im going to give it 2 weeks, and then go back and see how they are doing. With the way Sapphrie has been lately,I want to stick with it there and make money. I have suffered at Sapphire for so long, now that it is finally getting business, I want to make the money they owe me from working there so long with no customers.

So yeah, its really nice. It has potential, I just want to gve it a few weeks to get settled in, get established, and then Im gonna check back.

Kaylinn, thanks for the update. I'm excited about checking it out.

I'm kind of over the clubs such as Rhino and Scores becoming too much of a hang-out and no place to sit and relax.

    Update on the Mens Club...

I didn't work on Sat (first opening day), but I DID work last night (second opening day). Kaylinn's review was very accurate. Beautiful club, very nice employees, a great deal of potential.... It was, however, painfully slow. The few groups that wandered in appeared to be from other clubs, simply checking out the newest competition.

The club does not have a large mega-club vibe, such as Scores or Sapphires... perhaps due to the lower ceilings and abundance of pillows VIP is the majority of the club, which is wonderful, so long as the club attracts that customer base. The restraunt aspect is definitely just important to Mens Club as the entertainment.

Definitely a gown club/ "Girlfriend Experience" atmosphere/vibe (which is what I am used to, so didn't mind this) ...not the "one dance and run" club by any means..

Since I am comfortable /partial to the atmosphere ( for anyone that doesn't know me, I'm coming from Club Paradise , LV and Scores, NYC) , I think I am going to stick it out... I just hope my finances can take the initial hit ...

    I'll keep everyone posted...

My finances cannot take that hit right now, so I have to suppliment my income with other clubs, and have been doing well at Sapphire lately, but I am hopeful and optimistic about this club, and will keep checking back to see how it's going. I am like you, I perfer the slow, GFE experience over the dance and run atmosphere. I am very good at finding one guy and making him fall in love with me and give me all his cash, but not so good at the hustle of going from guy to guy trying to rack up dances.

Kaylinn- definitely keep me posted when you return to Mens Club- We'll have to introduce ourselves I have heard that Sapphires is doing well now, which is awesome, especially for you if you've been there awhile!

I am not working tonight, but think I'll head in to MC tom. and see if there is any slight pick up in the crowd... I'll let you know what happens...

I think part of the problem is that MC pushed the opening back so many times, that now no one knows that they are open...and it definitely isn't in a location that you'd just drive by and see

Last night , they did say that they expected it to take a while before they really got going... I think that once they have their official "Grand Opening" party , it will get better and word will get out that they are open..

I can update. I spoke to Marla and the grand opening party will be the 22nd of February. I don't know why it's been pushed back so far. We had a hella packed party Friday night thrown by 944 magazine. The people were fun and an interesting cross section. Met a Bellagio muckety muck and a dude who writes for Vegas Weekly. My take on the situation is they'll have to do some more agressive, strategic promotion to reach that niche audience. The locals I approached didn't want to spend but all the tourists have gotten dances and rooms! At this point I'm just shadowing the convention dudes.

And YES that is the best damn sushi I've ever tasted! Definitely worth the indulgence if I do say so myself!

They'll ask you to wear your gown and do a body check.
