It's very unfortunate that my first experience in the champagne room (I just started dancing less than a month ago) was a total disaster but if I could prevent the same thing from happening to someone else than I would feel like it was an important learning experience. Sorry for it being so long.
So last night a group of guys came into my club for a bachealor party celebration. The guys appeared to have the money so I thought it was totally legit...wrong!Each guy in the party got a girl for themselves and it just so happens that my guy was having some other guy pay for him which sketched me out at first but I was totally assured that the cost was taken care of.
The champagne room costs $400 for the first hour and $100 for each extra hour. It was my impression that the champagne room managers took care of all the money-handling and I even told the manager that I was charging $125 per hour in the champagne room so you would think that he would just add that onto the minimum charge of $400 right?(especially when I was told we're not really trying to make the guys think about how much they're spending, just how much of a good time they're having.) The guy that was covering my guy dissapeared half-way into the second hour saying that he was going to the ATM or something to get more money. Well, he never came back which I knew did not bode well for me. My friend who was up there with me and had the guy who had dissapeared found out that we were supposed to get the money we were charging up-front from each guy. So another guy said that he would some-what take care of my friend and gave her $125 which she later kindly split with me since I would have walked away with nothing after sitting on my ass in the champagne room during prime hustling hours. I was so upset I just left after that and didn't even say anything to management about it which in retro-spect it would have been wise to do![]()
Now, I'm out $300 after last night and I'm wondering if I should say something to the management when I go back for my next shift-just so they can prevent such an unfortunate event from happening again which really, wouldn't reflect well on the club at all for dancers working there in the future. Should I just go talk to management and explain what happened in-person or should I write up a statement of what happened since they are usually busy?
