Default clip in hair extensions and floor work?

I recently cut my near waist length hair off in a fit of insanity... now I hate it!! Not to mention short hair and dancing=no money!
So I have a few questions for ladies who have used the clip ins.
First, I spend the majority of my time dancing on the floor...I do contortion during my set...when I do this (ie legs around the head) I am afraid these things would pull right out! I have tried wigs but it is impossible to keep on during a floor show. I would rather not spend the money only to have them fall out!
Second, I have VERY curly hair. Most of the extensions I have seen are not even close to my curls...is perming a good idea?
Any tips and tricks would be appreciated! Short hair is killing me!

Wow. Is that you in your avatar then?

It won't hurt to try perming the extensions. Who cares if you damage them? I suggest making them yourself. Number one to keep costs down, and number two, you'll have a couple extra feet of hair in case the perming goes wrong.

You'll never know if they'll stay in till you try. I don't think they would in my hair, but it's not as textured as yours sound to be.

Also, since you 'HATE' your short hair, and am worried about the clip ins coming out, why not look into permanent extensions?

Do you have short curly hair or short curly coarse hair?

hmmmm....I would say its somewhat course....when it was long it would dread very easily...its a little longer than chin length now. My curls have been relaxing over the last couple years so its not as course as it once was! I did look into permenant extensions but the upkeep and damage to my real hair seemed to much to risk. My hair grows like a weed so if I can get through the next 6 months...

hi i use the clip in hair extensions and they have never fallen out and i do lots of upsidedown pole and floor work

i made a set of 8 from 18 inch human hair in 2 colours which were sold on a track, u cut to size to your head shape, sew on a 'wig clip' to each and you've saved yourself at least $200

its worth getting them cut at a good hairdressers to make them into a nice shape and number mark each one exactly where they should be positioned to prevent mixing them up for next time

u could straighten or curl them before putting them in - avoid silicon based products as this could make them fall out

make sure you put them into clean hair, shampoo your scalp well and only condition the ends so that the roots are not too slippery. i also have thick wavy hair too which i straighten first which helps blend the ends into the extensions.

put the extensions in starting at the back from the lowest part of the neck working up and around the sides. when u section off with a tailcomb, backcomb the area you are putting the clip on for extra grip. when in place check the clip is holding then let your own hair fallover the clip. dont put them on top of your head near the parting.

they are great for adding length or bangs and the best thing is they are not damaging

when they are all in place do the handstand test to make sure they are secure
