    Default shoe craft

I know i can get a wholesale lot of plain black platforms for pretty cheap here in the UK. But what would i want 12 pairs of plain black platforms for you ask?
AHA well heres the ingenious (or daft) plan.
Do you think it would be possible to turn a pair of these

    into a pair of these

    using one of these

Should i sew or glue it on? what sort of needle will i need? has anyone tried shoe customisation before?
    just think of the possibilities!!

and if i try and fail what do i do with 12 pairs of wrecked platforms lol.

Probably glue it. Don't know if you would be able to sew it. You'd need a special machine and needle (heavy duty).

You could always buy 1 or 2 pairs and experiment...

Although...is what you are spending on the shoes going to be equal to what someone could buy them from at the store? No use buying the shoes, decking them out and then not being able to sell them because someone can get the same thing for cheaper elsewhere...

    Thanks for the input deary
The shoes are pretty much the cheapest i can get in the uk, with the patches being about 99p each, and i already have a glue gun so they are going to be pretty cheap to make.
I was going to buy them anyway to resell so thought why not try out something different
and of course i will have to keep a pair for myself for "testing purposes"

You might get some tips if you post the same question over at punkrockdomestics.com in the fashion or craft section. Some people have made some really cool shit over there. It might be better to paint the design on or use a transfur. Im no expert though, but ive often wondered about doing stuff like that (-:

I was on ebay last night looking for some pretty shoe clips to add to my platforms. (I have the same style as you).

I don't see why glue wouldn't work. The most difficult thing would be finding which type of glue to use.

I will be sticking rhinestones all over the top part of my shoe as soon as I get enough to cover both sides.

Go for it! I would even suggest asking a shoe maker/cobbler what they might recommend for glue (hot glue will most likely melt the shoe)! Sounds like you had a great idea!
