Ok, so this is actually a new one for me.
A few weeks back I was in Long Beach CA and while putzing around the shows, I got into a conversation with someone about the Tech industry, what I do, and where it's going. As it turns out the guy was a contributor to a magazine, (it's a new one so not too incredibly popular lot of ads for it though)
When he formally introduced himself via his occupation (as you can assume for those who know me, this took him a long time to find a break in the convo allowing of this.)
Well, I was asked to contribute and also grace the first magazine as a headliner (I signed a paper releasing my image for the cover of this mag only for a fee but I doubt it would be used) example of the issue's focus "Changing the Image of the I.T. industry Forever Better".
So... this all fell to the wayside... till I was actually contacted for an interview! I complied. Now, I have been contacted about a photo shoot!
This is where I am getting to... when you know a photoshoot is coming, is there anything you do to prepare for it? Like last minute toppers on what you already have to sharpen the edge?
I'm really hoping this works out for the best! I mean I can get up in front of 50+ people and tell bad jokes...but this? This has me baffled. This is supposed to be a nationwide publication! I'm not putting the cart before the horse, but I am definitely enjoying the treatment.
Thoughts?
